Ok cool, thank you. I had concerns of muscle being used for energy if I didn't have some carbs right after.

Yeah you're fine. Keep in mind when you first start something like this, a few things happen. Your system is shocked by the increased activity and/or decreased intake. Also, your body sheds excess water almost immediately. I got back into this almost two weeks ago and I'm down almost a pound a day myself.

Correct, there have been reports of people suffering irreversible brain damage due to flushing the sodium out of their system and their brain went into shock.

If it were 3 gallon or 12L then I'd be worried.. I've drank upwards of 6L on my cardio days.

The most I would do would be a 15-20 minute HIIT session (walk 5, hiit 10, walk 5). This can increase the growth hormone and norepinephrine in your system. Then again, everyone's different and this may do nothing for you. As long as you're moving you'll be fine.

I don't think so.. I had it just above my shoulder blades. I squeezed them to keep it in place. I even tried a bar pad ( I know there are different opinions about that) and it still hurt.

LOL.. yes. For most, they'd rather put the incline up on the treadmill (without holding on I hope) or the resistance on the elliptical. To each there own, but for me, lifting just isn't the same if you're not doing something for the legs. Then again, how many gym rats do you see with huge upper bodies and stick legs? (too…

Diet and portion control is going to be most of what helps. You can workout till you drop, but diet needs to be in check. Trust me, I've wiped out workouts by downing a pizza. Not a slice.. a pizza.

Wow.. yeah I'll say! Thanks dude!!

What she said.

As long as your diet is in check (not crash-dieting), have some protein after your workouts and some complex (slow) carbs before you workout, then you'll be fine. There's a big obsession with "negative calories" with working out on an empty stomach to burn fat.. while that sounds awesome, it just doesn't work that way.…
