Always the inspiration! o:) You will never know the countless people you have inspired here. I am back into another weight loss journey but I looked for your blog over the past year and when I started logging again. Not gonna lie….it was sorely missed! Thank you so much for the update and so glad your hubby is doing…

If you live in cold areas, those favorite clothes that become too big can still be winter clothes that need the space for long johns or insulating underwear. You always need a few of those around! ;)

Welcome! Totally relate to those sick feelings. Losing weight helped those for me as I minimized and changed my diet.

Welcome! I know that it can be a long road to being mentally ready to go on the journey of weight loss. While some people seem to cruise down getting slimmer and stronger without even breaking a sweat, BE ASSURED that for most of us it is hard work! Getting to the starting point is the first hard mile (however many years…

Agreed about late 40’s. I believe it happens a few years after menopause as hormones level out. Partly though, I believe it is also the ‘vibe’ women give off then. If you are losing a bunch of weight and getting fit you are also rediscovering life is more fun. Your focus in life changes and some things become clearer. It’s…

Avidkeo, I see this as only positive. I think measuring food is a skill all kids should learn! We live in a world that now has such abundance of food product that we have a world wide obesity problem. So many people have no idea what a serving of 100 calories looks like in any food. To learn the real size of a suggested…

@amandajoyb @JJKM73 @EvansMomNL @jeannalyn1227 @gjet3168 @missbehave_1 Welcome to all the new people! For me this thread is a place to share both ups and downs with a group of people that ‘get it’. MFP has so many different groups of people at so many different fitness levels that just don’t understand how someone can be…

That middle ground is such a battle! I take inspiration from Jennifer Gardner (actress) who has an amazing sculptered bod after three kids and pushing middle aged. Pretty sure she acheived it at the gym and not at the plastic surgeon! Lol ;)

I try to stay strictly below 1200. Easier to do with salads and finding a substitute dressing option that makes you happy. I try not to eat my exercise calories at all but it has been more difficult after losing 50lbs. The plateaus have been broken by tightening up that calorie ceiling and adding extra workouts. If my…

Welcome! We have all hit that wake-up moment! My best advice is start doing some diligent research on food and health and fasting and exercise that you can find on netflix, amazon prime and youtube. You will be surprized at how having some real and compelling research makes losing the weight easier! My first most inspiring…

Probably because it takes about a year for your face to tighten back up and not have the slight sag that does look like you may just been sick. It is the common look after the flu or chemo skin sag.

Try Darn Tough socks- lifetime guarantee! I did spend a small fortune on them because after buying only one pair they were the ONLY ones I wanted to wear and I was all the time waiting for them to get outta the dryer :D They are mostly wool and fit like gloves but if they fail for any reason, they replace them. I like the…

Check out amazon swimwear. They have some very cute part and full coverage suits now. I even see many young women choosing suits they can swim in and not worry about falling out or bubbling out. Some look like workout wear with legs of different lengths and even zip-up short and long sleeve suits. Some are advertised as…

On feeling cold alot- I have noticed lately that my feeling cold has more to do with diet rather than fat loss. I recently switched back to full fat dairy (milk, cottage cheese, sour cream, yogurt) instead of fat-free stuff and noticed not only more satiability for longer but also feeling warmer and having a higher energy…

Congratulations on your successful weight loss! ;) And old trucks are the best! B) I hear what you are saying about being uncomfortable addressing weight-loss comments but I think your angst is may be a bit short-sighted. I believe we will be experiencing much more openess in society talking about weight loss and gain and…

Welcome! :) Congratulations on your success! On this puzzling response from your daughter, I am guessing she feels kinda betrayed because you didn’t share this major life change with her. And the eating disorder accusation could come from her read on this that you have been trying to hide your weight loss, therefore…

I luv the fact this marathon is advertising for only 2 volunteers! And bring stuff to share at the aid table :) And use your own gps to prove you did the distance :D Kinda awesome and efficient! Lol
