Yes, I'm due 9th of May. My eating is quite good but now I'm in the second trimester I'm trying to eat more for baby and less for me. Also, as I had to take a lot of fertility drugs over the years I need to watch my weight.

I desperatley need carbs for a day or two, and chocolate. I try to do more exercise that week.

Since taking citalopram (1.5years) I've gained 10kg! I've really cleaned up my diet and exercise more than ever yet the weight keeps rising The weight in particular is going to my stomach. It's really getting to me now. Anyone else had similar experience? My doctor a few months back said it was in my head but the weight…

I'm in London. Been lax on diet but going to kick *kitten* this year! Could do with more friends on here!

I was advised to do this by a therapist at my hospital clinic as it helps reset insulin level apparently. I'm doing 5:2 and around 800cals on fast days as I work a long day and like my gym time. Just started really so can't see much yet. Not too hard though as I get my teats in within reason on non-fast days.

London here too, please add! :)

If I'm quite stressed out I can get an upset stomach and that leads me to binging on all sorts of unhealthy things as I feel sorry for myself and comfort eat. I've been in this cycle this week so didn't log anything. Finally took action to log todays binge, at least :o Yikes... I guess that has stopped me...for now!

Thanks, will do! Great tips.

Hey, add me too. I'm on a misson and most of my MFP have moved on on their weight loss.
-
Add me too! I'm in the same boat. Been trying to stay motivated while other half is merrily munching takeaway in front of my a couple of days a week too! :#

Thanks everyone. So far I've baked it and just used a tiny bit of spray oil. The tofu I used was Cauldron original tofu which is about 4.9g of fat per 100g. The recipe I was going for was this one https://minimalistbaker.com/crispy-peanut-tofu-cauliflower-rice-stir-fry/ but looking at all your feedback I looked out for…

I'm kinda in the same boat. This morning I felt so demoralised as the scales are telling me I'm putting on weight again, yet I'm being as careful as I can be with food and getting in as much weights and cardio as the work day allows. I've not measured myself yet but actually can't tell much difference with clothes yet but…

On the article link. I shared it round some friends. I'm still staying on the wagon but finding going out hard work. Might get used to it though (o:

Thanks. Really interesting!

Thanks! I think work have now become used to my 'odd salads' for lunch. They're now being pretty supportive. I'm in week 5 now and finding the dedication needed hard going. I guess it'll be another few months before i see any real results.

Oh, I tried some beef jerky while the cake was being handed out. It was ok but it's made me feel a bit sick!

All really useful tips! I think crunch time is 3/4pm when the cake comes out on the office and I've nowhere to go! I keep going over fat on my daily calories from snacking on nuts. I'm staying away from all sugar and only eating carbs after workouts so need some other choices I can keep in my drawer at work.
-
I'm getting the hang of he snacking through sheer willpower. My boss told me today that if you clench your left hand into a fist the points your nails hit apparently hit an acupuncture point that shuts off cravings. I've been trying to today as due to avoiding drinking I am back craving cigarettes. I'm a bit skeptical but…

I hear ya 2PieceNow!!! One of my colleagues said unfortunately we live in a culture where if you don't drink. you are either asked if you are an alcoholic or if you are pregnant. I know I bored all my friends bu explaining the why every single time. Still...just having will power for a whole night and not caving is quite…

Ok all, I went out last night after a vicious gym session. Had 5 pints of soda water with fresh lime watching the footie. Except I barely got to watch the footie as my 'friends' kept trying to make me drink. Then when they realised it wouldn't happen l kept telling me 'how well i was doing' and trying to make me break my…

Ha! If that is true that means I would be better off having a tipple a day than saving a few for a Friday or special occasion?! Well, I'm going to abstain this week-end as other half's birthday is now out of the way. See what I weight same time in a week. Two colleagues are doing the 5:2 and not cut their drinking at all…

Thanks for all the replies! Really helpful. There are people on a plan with me that are on the 5:2 plan and seen to me losing weight. i think everyone is different so maybe I am more sensitive to sugar than others or need to up my exercise more. Obviously few drinks can put off exercise the next day. I think loads of water…

I've started doing a few more short walks. We don't really do 'lunch breaks' in our office so am taking my time out to just do a quick walk round the block. So far so good.
-
Ha! My 'sweet treat' was 146 cals! Talk about label being misleading! So far so good on giving into the office sweet treats. Normally I would have cracked by now.
-
Thanks for all the ideas. It seems to creep in at about 2.30pm at work though but am going to use the journal idea there. Bought a small low cal juice drink to give the feeling of 'treat' without the calories. I'm usually good at home unless friends/family are round. I'm starting a boot camp tonight and with a running club…
