  • Thanks for posting! I must try...
  • Mine's lame: Lady Christina Snowball-39th.
  • I have lost 7 lbs in 2.5 months. Granted, I don't have a lot to lose (I'm about 1/2 way there) but I'm deliberately doing this slowly so it will be a lifestyle change. I lost 30 lbs in 5 months once but put over 1/2 of it back on over the next year because I didn't make permanent changes. I think that having a goal to lose…
  • Chocolate and peanut butter are two of my favorite things, things I miss the most since eating "healthy!" I will definitely try this! Also, I love the idea of tofu frosting. I sometimes make tofu pudding, so good!
  • Between being busy at work and TOM, I missed some important workouts for a couple of weeks. Then, instead of doing my run on Thursday, I did it yesterday and had one of the best runs ever!! I totally believe in giving your body a rest. Too much and you can get sick or plateau or... I say, take a nap and enjoy it!
  • Congrats! Today, I am wearing a pair of pants that I haven't been able to fit into for 3 years and a top that in the past I had students at my school asking if I was "pregnant." I don't look pregnant now!! :)

  • I literally laughed out loud at this! Love it!
  • I used to not eat after 7pm every night and that worked with my schedule. However, now I sometimes won't get home until almost 8pm from the gym and I need to eat after a workout so I'll have some peanut butter with a banana or some grapes or an apple. And I go to bed around 9pm. Play around with it. Some people's bodies…
  • Add some healthy higher calorie snacks like peanut butter or almonds. After I exercise I usually eat 2 tablespoons of peanut butter and a banana, that adds around 200 more calories. Or an ounce or two of cheese, it has good fats and higher cals. Avocados also are high in calories but good for you.
  • What about wearing it around a chain on your neck until you have it re-sized? idk-just an idea (I'm not married so not sure if it being on the finger is really important or not).
  • I work with elementary children...they are very "honest" as well. "Are you having a baby!?!?!" Um....no.
  • The slow motion part is the best.
  • NSV-means Non Scale Victory Something that happens that is resulting from your weight loss journey but may or may not have to do with actual pounds coming off. I.e. clothes fit better, someone notices how better/different you look, etc.
  • Thanks! I didn't think it was too bad but sometimes I'm way over. I do exercise 4-6 days a week, which I thought protein was good for. Just changed my goal to 30%. Thanks again!
  • I am also training for a half marathon and have found that if I don't increase my calories, I plateau. I can keep it around 1500-1600 on the days that I run but I'm also only running 3 days per week. I do weights, yoga, pilates and spinning on the other days. Legend has it right, buy a lot of bananas, the potassium helps…
  • I would up your calories. I need to eat 1400 cals to lose, when I stay around 1200 the weight either doesn't come off at all or it takes forever. When I eat around 1400 (or more when I burn over 500 cals for exercise) then it practically melts off. Play around with your calorie intake, if you eat too little, your body will…
  • I understand that! My mother, whom I love very much, insists on sending me bags of chocolate for Halloween, Valentine's Day and my birthday (which falls around Easter). I end up eating some of it then taking the rest to work and then not going into the staff room all day. Sometimes people don't know what to give as gifts…

  • Something that may help is to post a sample menu from a typical day. That way other members can give you advice on what you are choosing to eat. Sometimes I have a hard time getting in my calories on days I run because I burn a lot of calories. On those days, I'll eat a banana with peanut butter, higher in calories but…
  • Pilates, that builds your core from the inside out. Very good for belly flab!
  • I know people who've done couch to 5K and love it. I agree with above poster, Hal Higdon has helped me start and keep running!
  • I'm in Oregon, east of the capital.
