Hi, was the doctor you saw your primary? Maybe you should see an Orthopedic specialist. Preferably one that specializes in Sports Medicine. When it comes to medical advice MFP may not be the best place, though I'm sure there are many people here in the medical field (myself included). Hope you feel better soon.

New Rules of Lifting for Women is good ( there is a group here and its based on the book with the same name). There are alot of people that is doing this program. I heard Stronglifts 5x5 is good too.

Well, when I did my baseline including the warm up, I think I burned like 600-630 cal. I would have to go back in my HRM to see the actual burn. Edit - I burned 613 cal. Baseline: 500m row 40 squats 30 situps 20 pushups 10 ring pullups

You may need to eat a little something, nothing heavy before you work out. That happened to me after I did a KB workout. I just ate a sugar free popsicle after my workout and I was fine :)
