  • I don't know if anyone has mentioned it already, but what you could try to do is to do the "Butterfly project". All you have to do is draw one, or more, butterflies on the place you usually cut. Name it after a person that is really close to you and wish for you to get better. As long as you don't cut, the butterfly stays…
  • Personally I always relax. I find that it's a more honest way to take the measurements. But if you do the same every time, it's not a bad thing at all. Just make sure that you don't suck your stomach in more some times than other times, as that will be misleading.
  • To skip out on work-outs every once in a while is not a bad thing. Everybody has those days, really! Don't beat yourself up over it. You're trying to make a change, and you obviously put a lot of effort into it. And that's what matters.
  • I would say once an hour. I weigh myself every time I go to the bathroom. It's like that because I have OCD (Obsessive Compulsive Disorder) and I'm obsessed with watching each pound drop. I also find it motivational to watch as the numbers go up as I eat, then I don't feel like eating anymore. Though, weighing yourself…
  • I usually cut two apples into pieces and keep them in a sealed bag so that I can snack on them throughout the day :)
  • I'm 5'6", I have a small frame and currently weigh 145 lbs. My ultimate goal is 114 lbs. I just don't get to be satisfied with my weight until I reach that goal. But when I was 150 lbs, I think I looked great! For a person at 5'6" I think that's a really good goal to set.
  • 1. Cucumber 2. Corn 3. Tofu 4. Beans 5. Salad 6. Blueberries 7. Melon 8. Pepsi Max (does that count??) 9. Chewing gum 10. Green tea
  • I've been fat all my life, really. Always been the heaviest in my class, etc. Until two years ago I was considered obese, in fact!! Now I'm at a healthy weight, though :)
  • Personally I believe that I'm living proof that it's not true - at least not as much as people wants it to be. I starved myself for a really long time and I lost 35 kg (77 lbs) in just a couple of months. This was without exercise and having a sedentary lifestyle. However, if you starve yourself for just a couple of days…
  • What helped me a lot was to replace snacking with chewing gum and diet Coke. It's really hard to get used to at first, but if you just put some will-power into it and get determined to lose weight, I think that would help a lot. Also, you should try always making a shopping-list and tell yourself that you're not going to…
