  • 1) People not minding their own business. Don't stare at me. Please. It's weird. 2) Those older ladies who linger right in the middle of the (small) women's weightlifting room talking about everything. Isn't there another place to talk? Like outside? 3) People talking through you. Seriously. I'm right there, hearing your…
  • I do cardio as much as I can. I usually have 2 days with no cardio at all, and one complete rest day. The general rule of thumb for weightlifting is to not do it two days in a row, unless you're using completely different muscle groups the next day.
  • My friend weight lifts and brings a book to read in between sets. There is nothing wrong with multi-tasking if you can do it efficiently and with care. ;)
  • Honestly, I've seen it work. But I've also seen it fail, when people stopped drinking the shakes they gained more weight back, plus some. • I'm estimating. But I usually estimate less. Yesterday I had a pretty good cycling work out for 50 minutes and I inputted it for 30 mins at a slower rate. I don't trust MFP calorie burner estimates. :P There are body monitors....that tell me how much I burn? :o
  • I'm 5'5 at 199. I put that I want to lose 1 lb. a week.
  • Girl, I've been a vegetarian, and decreasing my portions for 4 months and nothing. I've been going to the gym for about 3 months and I haven't seen any scale changes. I've been a calorie counting for two weeks and nothing. But there's no going back. Look for other victories. I can run a mile now without wanting to kill…
  • Girl, don't worry about getting buff. It's extremely hard for us women to get buff unless we get our body percent fat WAAAY low. Anyway, after that, I can only tell you what I do. I bought a book. It's called, "The new rules of lifting." It's a fantastic way to get toned and strong. BUT, I do have a gym membership, at the…
