  • I have that too! I've had it all my life. It's so frustrating because my waist/belly button area is kind of small but my upper and lower stomach sticks out way more. My upper belly is starting to go away (it's almost kinda flat!) but the lower belly will not go away and it's driving me insane. It makes my hips huge and…
  • I find a lot of workouts on the health & fitness section on pinterest. Haha. It's a lot of push up/squat/etc. routines. I don't have the attention span for workout videos or anything like that.
  • I'm in recovery from an eating disorder, so I actually haven't weighed myself in about two months. That's also because I'm in college and I don't own a scale personally. When I'm back home and I do have a scale, I used to weigh myself at least once or twice per day and it got obsessive. Weight can fluctuate a lot. When I…
  • I'm at 1500. Every calculator I've ever done says I should be eating around 1800-1900 to lose, but I'm not comfortable with that. I'm 5'3 and last I weighed myself I was at 198. Goal weight around 120.
  • I'm gonna bookmark this threat...so many great ideas. I've been digging veggie burger/wraps lately. I usually take a black bean burger (I should make them from scratch, but I usually only have time for frozen ones), cut it up, put some cheese and spinach or some other kind of lettuce on a tortilla, and bam. I don't have a…
  • I think it's different for everyone. I've never taken Abilifty, but I've taken Lexapro and I'm currently on Zoloft. Both of them (especially Zoloft) were supposed to make me gain weight, but I didn't at all. Just make sure you continue to eat right and maybe exercise a bit more, and you should be fine.
  • Keep a bowl of grapes or baby carrots or something else like that with you. You can pretty much eat as much of that as you want and be fine. It works for me, at least.
  • I've always been fat and I've always wanted to lose it, even when I was a kid. I realized when I started college last year that a lot of people are at the prime of their health at this point in their lives, but I'm certainly not. I figured, if I want to lose the weight, now is a good time to do it.
  • amen. I just had a big, soft cookie and I feel great! :D
  • Huh, that's really interesting. I have most of those symptoms. I'll try going gluten free for a few days and see what happens!
  • I'm a girl. Highest weight- 220 lbs Current Weight- 198 lbs at my last weight in Lowest weight- I've been over 200/close to it since I stopped growing. Goal weigh- 120 lbs, I think. I'm around 5'4 but I also have a wide frame anyway, so I'll just stop trying to lose and start trying to maintain when I'm happy with my…
  • 18, 5'3~ish I'm currently around 198, and my goal weight for now is 120. I have a wide frame. 1300-1500 calories per day My currently lifestyle requires that I walk about 40-60/5 days per week. I go to the gym 2-3 days per week, depending, and I stay there about 40 minutes. I don't usually eat back exercise calories, I…
  • If they're t-shirts or sweat pants, I sleep in them. If not I donate them or give them to my mom.
  • feel free to add me :)
  • You can definitely do it! It'll take a few days, but it'll be worth it. A few years ago, I got to the point where the carbonation from those drinks gave me chest pains...they still do, but it forced me to cut them out alltogether. I have one every now and again but not every day. Try drinking flavored water...or making…
  • i definitelyyy have a stress tummy (with maybe a little bit of spare tire going on...thanks college) good to know, thanks!
  • The first time I did Zumba, I was wayyy out of shape and not active at all. It was really hard for me to keep up...I even had chest pains after it. I tried it again about a year later after I've been a lot more active (yay college for making me do things) and after an hour, I was ready for more when some of the skinny…
  • I drink Starbucks Refreshers a lot, which are made from green coffee beans, and all it really does is suppress my appetite somewhat. Same effect that green tea has.
  • I'm not an expert at all, but I've found that if I'm gaining muscle, it takes a long time for the number on the scale to actually go down. Maybe try running or doing something that requires a lot of endurance. Endurance is great for burning fat. I'm sure someone can explain this better than I can!
  • I usually put tofu, corn, green beans, and some seasoning in it. I've recently starting eating qunioa, so I'll have to try some of these recipes!
  • idk i have the same problem though. I've been a vegetarian for about a year now and I have friends and family members who refuse to eat meat around me. I have no idea why. It kinda makes me mad.
  • I have to set as 1500 per day, but I find it hard to eat that much (I'm in recovery from an eating disorder)
  • same here! feel free to add me :)
  • I'm not an expert, but I've always heard that 1200 is generally not enough. I ate 1200 or under for months and didn't lose anything, but when I went up to 1500 I started losing a lot more.
  • Me too! I just see it as a way to make water more interesting.
  • 1) What is college life like? It definitely depends on your school, but it's like nothing you've ever experienced before. You get to know people so quickly. You probably won't get enough sleep...ESPECIALLY not on the weekend. Try to find a balance between schoolwork and fun and you should be good. 2) How do I avoid the…
  • My BMR is 1690. So what should I be eating then? (There's so much math and I'm terrible at it).
  • My TDEE (after subtracting 20%) is 2100...I still feel like that's way too many calories in a day. I'm fairly active (light to moderate exercise every day), but still. My calorie goal had been about 1200 and I always went under. I've upped it to 1500, but I still don't know if I'm doing something wrong.
  • I also struggle with anxiety and depression. I'm on medication right now, so it's suppressed, but it's still a battle. For one thing, definitely try to exercise. You don't even need a gym. There are plenty of exercises that you can do from your own room. Exercise increases endorphins and makes you happier. I got tired of…
  • I'm in a college marching band haha.
