  • mustache would tickle too much
  • Yup! If there's a playground or something nearby you can go there to do all of the above workouts as well as have room to do any cardio or HIIT (sprints etc). Plus you can use the monkey bars for pull ups, chin ups, dips etc.
  • Hey! Feel free to add me up if you like people that have fun but work hard. I'm not one to coddle you so if you like that type of stuff then maybe just skip me haha.
  • Thanks, man. I'm definitely following up this program with a couple of days off and some very relaxed gym sessions.
  • Did you read my final report? I would tend to agree that rest is crucial but you'd be surprised at what your body is capable of. It may not need as much rest as you think. I did it and so can many others out there. The key is to listen to your body. Like I said in the report... good program but 30 days was enough!
  • Oh yeah I forgot to post my PRs! BEFORE: Squat : 245lbs Front Squat: 185lbs Deadlift: 315lbs Military Press: 135lbs Bench Press: 155lbs AFTER: Squat : 305lbs Front Squat: 245lbs Deadlift: 335lbs Military Press: 145lbs Bench Press: 175lbs (I didn't start with an impressive bench/military press nor did I push it very hard…
  • FINAL UPDATE AND THOUGHTS...for those who care 4 weeks of the Squat Every Day program by Cory Gregory ended as of yesterday and I will give my thoughts, my personal results, and who I'd recommend this to. A great thing about this program is that you are forced to push yourself day in and day out - attempting to hit new…
  • Also, sorry I forgot to mention this. It seems like you're on the right track with lots of protein. The only difference (it seems) between what you're doing and what I'm doing is that I'm eating at a surplus. Example: -My daily caloric goal is 1800 (Surplus of about 200 calories) -I try to always eat that amount but I…
  • Currently at around 195 and looking to stay there for the time being. Body fat % beginning of April was 14.45% and I'll see what it's dropped down to at the end of April. Goal Body fat % is 10. Do some research on how to successfully do a change of body composition: it's what I'm currently doing. I've taken all my…
  • Victoria, BC!
  • not like this is really answering your original question but everyone up there already has...but just a related tip is to weight yourself at the same time (preferable the morning when you're in a fasted state) three times a week and then average the numbers out. That should give you a pretty accurate weight that smooths…
  • haha no I'm glad I was called out on what I did wrong. My statements were over-simplified but I still hope that people realize that excessive sugar is not good for you and it can be very easy to over-do it. A simple google search of the effects of sugar on the body will drive my point far enough.
  • You could see it as backpedalling... I just see it as me realizing that I, however well intentioned, posted something that was over-simplified and was able to realize how I was wrong once some people called me out on it... But I do appreciate the compliment! Thanks!
  • I was just having a little fun. Read my last post. I have learned the error of my ways and I had a blast doing it! Thanks for contributing
  • Upon further soul searching, one thing about what you said struck me the most: your comment that my whole over-simplified post could've been put much more efficiently by saying, "too much of anything is bad for you." ....yeah I should've just said that. I mean too much fat is bad, too much protein is bad (oh that poor…
  • Yes. Sugar can be a good ally before a workout for fast energy or after a workout to spike insulin levels and help your body absorb nutrients for recovery...just like your shady friend can be a good ally when going to the movies or having a great night out... but you don't want you shady friend around all the time,…
  • Okay okay...my goodness some people are really finicky about this stuff soooo I'm gonna have some fun with this. I've amended some of the points of my original post: 2. Fruit juices = sugar water. If you're gonna have fruit, eat them, don't juice them... but it's your life and if you want to have some fruit juice, you…
  • For many it can be difficult to reduce sugar intake depending on their existing habits but you seem to have it down, lemurcat.
  • Oh my...Yes, you're 100% right. But I like to think of my audience as an intelligent one that will be able to see past the small amount of rhetoric and drama that I add to some of my posts in order to get a point through...so that's why I didn't just say, "hey guys, please try to not eat as much sugar".
  • well yeah, it's impossible to stay away from sugar because it's everywhere...It's just that people overdo it. I too sometimes have a soft drink or a fruit juice but almost always opt for a water. The point is not to say never have sugar, but it's to say that you need to be mindful of how much you're consuming because it's…
  • I'm in my early twenties but only for a few more months...then I'll be in my half-twenties and half-way to 50..
  • When it comes to your body, feelings and emotions can take over. I've found that limiting those feelings and thinking logically about my successes and my failures has helped me tremendously. Don't get sucked in by your own emotions and most importantly by other people's emotional rhetoric. Your body is a machine that has…
  • Agreed. I'm a HUGE believer in lifting heavy through compound movements and doing so often. However, lifting heavy alone is just one ingredient in the recipe to slim down. I incorporate heavy lifts with high volume into my workouts (kinda like crossfit), which leaves me exhausted and sweating at the end of a workout. This…
  • Good discipline is an attractive trait. Keep up the good work
  • I think you'll eventually find the right solution for you...just keep curious and driven! Also, good luck with your 5 kids!
  • Yeah gymnasts have great bodies cuz they do weight-lifting (i.e. they lift themselves) But ok, I really need to step back and check myself before posting things! Maybe I should say resistance training instead of weight training and that yes, there are many different avenues to achieving your fitness goals. Anyway,…
  • But it IS better... If you're not ABLE to do weight training then that's just the hand you've been dealt in life and you do your best with it (though I see a guy at my gym that comes in a trains and he's missing a leg...so it's gotta be a good excuse). But if you don't DESIRE to do weight training then you just gotta be…
