@anglyn1 I'm in MD and we must not be too far away from each other! Sunny skies here after a brief snow squall. (I would have cherished spring more had I known it was only going to last a week.) Enjoying coffee and dark chocolate during my planning and hoping my realtor calls soon with news that we got the house we…

I, too, am resisting the call of the Shamrock Shake. It is my favorite. That and a filet-o-fish used to be my ultimate St. Paddy's Day hangover cure. Here are some options I'm going to try this year. http://www.primallyinspired.com/copycat-shamrock-shake-paleo-healthy-version-vegan/…

Non-scale Victories are measures of success that are unrelated to the number on the scale. It can be health and activity related, new clothing size related or even just feeling really good about yourself. They're a fantastic (and needed) reminder that what you are doing has worth, even if the lying liar pants scale isn't…

Usually resistance if futile, but today I'm resisting. I'm the Key Club advisor and my students are heading out of town for the district conference this afternoon. All of their luggage is stored in my classroom. All of their luggage AND all of the snacks 10 teenagers would pack for a weekend in a hotel without their…

@FIT_Goat , here's some duck fat. https://epicbar.com/animal-oils-overview I haven't personally tried anything from this company, but I want to!!!!!! We are currently saving for a house to be purchased in the next month or two and are living off of eggs and hot dogs. I kid, but it's close. Once we've moved, I want it all!

Welcome, Sue! I'm a semi-urban high school teacher (Reading Specialist and Special Education). You have found a fantastic support system with this group.

I put on my favorite maxi-dress this morning. I've lost enough belly and butt that it drags on the ground.

Chin. Singular.

Why do you think your binge happened? Did it come from an emotional place of denying yourself? "I haven't had the yogurt/fruit/PB/nuts that I love and darn it, let me fill that up". If so, maybe you'd benefit from just allowing yourself enough daily carbs to fit those things in. I have my carbs set at 50 (still LCHF). I…

I have young children. The mooing disturbs them.
-
Steamed. Super yummy!
-
I've always thought when it is done moo-ing it is done cooking.

We went to Red Robin last week. Endless broccoli instead of endless fries! Five guys is our fast food go to. We also like Chipotle bowls without the rice and beans.
-
No, but I will assist at my son's wrestling practice. TPBM has a LCHF support person IRL. (Mine is my T1D hubby. He brought me along for the ride.)
-
Shhhhhhh, I am and, therefore, shouldn't be on mfp. TPBM jumped into LCHF and THEN did their research.

Feel free to add me. I'm more of a lurker on the boards; I'm still trying to learn. My husband and I went Keto in October to decrease his insulin need. It has been one of the best decisions ever!
-
Morbidly obese so I have a lot to lose. 18.8 lbs and one size since October 12.
-
I've been LCHF for just over a month. I get tempted and have had a few slip-ups, but today was a proud moment. There is a grocery store close to work that has been convenient for a stop when I forget something. I used to go in for a frozen meal for lunch and leave with a frozen meal, a bottled coffee drink, a pack of…

@Abm4n pork carnitas fajitas. Delicious! It will definitely be my new go to. @RebeccaMaunder I was concerned but had read if I stuck to fajitas without the rice, beans and tortillas I would be fine. There were actually a surprising number of possibilities. @neohdiver All of that sounds delicious. I'm thinking of…

@Sunny_Bunny_ It is amazing. He wears a Dexcom. On low carb, it is almost a straight line most of the time. We went to a football game the other day ate off plan. His line looked like a roller coaster. I sent him an interesting article about it the other day. I'll see if I can find it. It brought up some interesting points…

@baconslave No chips for us. We were good. The kids (4 1/2 and 19 months) ate them.

Thanks! Wabmester, he is currently reading that book! He began it for a grad school project and it is what got us both started. I don't know that he has reached a part with information about adjusting for exercise. I'll have him look. Sunny_Bunny_, I've sent him a screen shot. He understands better than I do. He does wear…

I'd love to add some friends , too! I lost almost 60 lbs using mfp a few years ago. Then, I got pregnant with my second son and have gained most of it back. I've got at least 150 to go.
-
Same! I lost almost 60 and then I got pregnant. I didn't gain any weight while pregnant (strict eating because of gestational diabetes). However, c-section recovery, food freedom after 9 months, stress, and not making myself a priority means I've gained most of it back in the past 14 months.

I had hives of an unknown origin for several months a few years ago. My regular doctor and an allergist could not identify ANYTHING that could be causing it. I mentioned it in a side conversation with my chiropractor. He said, "Oh, it's your liver." He recommended Standard Processing. I followed it for a month and have not…

Back up to 331. :s I used MFP to lose over 60 pounds and then got pregnant. I maintained through the pregnancy (mainly because of GD), but in the nine months since I've gained a good bit of it back. A combination of relief at not having to be quite so strict and demands of being a mommy of two has gotten out of control.…

Thanks for the support! lisapr123-So far, so good with the GD. I had some testing supplies left over from my first pregnancy and was able to go into my nutritionist meeting with about a week's worth of numbers. They are more than willing to let me control it with diet as long as possible. I also like that they are very…
