Being too far under your calorie intake can have on opposite effect and be careful not to fall into the trap of basing you calorie burn on MFP estimates. I find MFP overestimates calorie burn on exercises which is why you will see people eating back 50% of their exercise calorie deficit. Good luck and keep at it - two…

I always keep boiled eggs in my fridge for an easy on the go snack, breakfast with some fruit or to add to a salad.

I find it tough to keep motivated to exercise as well - 1 month in and still don't have much stamina. But it makes me feel better and I know I will get better. Keep at it and find something you enjoy. I will send a friend request.

Looking for a few more friends for motivation as well - especially a fellow Canadian :-) I sent you a friend request

I've never found one - learned by trial and error. Eventually you build up a base of foods you've used in the past (recent and frequent) and it becomes easier. I also like the copy and past function on quick tools - good luck

I weigh myself everyday (even during that time) but log only once a week. I give myself some slack during that time but still track it so I don't totally over eat - my appetite goes crazy a day or two before.

I'm re-visiting MFP as well. I was closing in on my all time high of 178 and I'm only 5'2". My goal is 31 pounds and down almost 6. I'm very determined as well. Could use more friends for encouragement as well.

I don't eat back all my calories burned because I believe MFP overestimates calories burned. I tend to eat back about 75%.

I will be 50 in two more years and it's not coming without a fight - LOL. I have been doing Jillian Michaels 30 day shred. Mixes cardio with strength and as well as a few times a week on my treadmill. Please friend me if you're looking for additional support.

Good morning - I'm trying to maneuver through all information regarding belly fat as well. Here is a link to some information that was on the Marilyn Denis show I found helpful. http://www.marilyn.ca/HealthFitness/segments/Daily/January2014/1_8_2014/BellyFatFact Good Luck

Hi - I'm starting back to MFP and have done well over Christmas. My husband plays a lot of sports so can eat anything without gaining weight - I tell him right now it's like I'm a recovering alcoholic so het "get's it" that I just can't be around food temptation right now. He relates to that LOL. Good luck.

I did day 1 today - yay me! - Please add me to your group.

Good Morning - I'm in the same place as you - dropped off MFP for the last 10 months and my goal is to lose 30 pounds as well. I have reactivated my gym membership and hope to go 3 days a week as well. Running, swimming and aerobic classes to start - maybe novice spin. My gym has a swim the great lakes challenge - I live…

That sounds great - I'm going to try that !

I'm 160 and a co-worker on this site is 120. This site set us both at 1200 calories per day. I thought that it was curious for the both of us to be the same. Sorry I don't have any suggestion.

Weights. More reps with a lower weight. Heavier weights will bulk you up.
-
That's terrific - and you're right. You have to want it for sure.

Your feet shrink from loss of body fat but also your foot bones don't expand as much under less weight.

I checked the food entries - Catelli has a bow tie for dry ( I think) then there was another brand that had bow tie cooked. Ranoni has a 1 cup dry pasta for 210 calories - you that one

I'm near Ottawa - I'm here most everyday - Add me if you want

Hi I'm in Petawawa - you can add me if you like

Hi Lisa - my name is Lisa too! I have been with MFP for about two months. I too am back at things more seriously since Christmas. I find this site does a good job of keeping me on track and giving me the motivation to do well. Please add me as a friend if you like.

Good for you - always good to lay down the foundations for success. Start your meal planning, get proper groceries in so you have an alternate choice from the nachos LOL. Plan your meals etc. Get your scale and do your measurements - you will want to take credit for ALL your success. Good Luck
-
Add me if you like - I'm getting back on track after the holidays as well. I'm on here daily.

To be honest I think people are judging you - people will always judge you - the thing is you can't let that keep you from going. Put on a set of head phones with your favorite up beat music and just concentrate on your workout. Pretty soon you will see you are improving (your stamina) and it won't matter anymore. Make…

I've tried videos and they just don't motivate me. I do my best excercise outside the home (gym), riding a bike, swimming, going for a long brisk walk etc. It's difficult to set "this is my excercise time" when you're at home because it feels like this is "my at home time". Hope that makes sense.
-
Hi Mindi - I been here for almost 2 months. The holidays were rough and I'm starting fresh too. Feel free to add me. Lisa

700 calories is a lot - I never eat back all of my excercise calories (how many did you burn?) I usually have a handful of good nuts and a glass of milk, however, if I had that many left I might induldge in icecream LOL What about snacks? Are you eating snacks or just 3 meals a day?

Hi I live in Canada - I sent a request - Happy New Year !

If it were me I would calibrate the scale and reduce the 3 lbs.
