It’s nice to know I’m not alone, although I do wish all of us to lose a little faster! I’ve been more diligent with upping my protein and calories this week and have lost at least 2lbs! Cheesy’s post has been very helpful in particular because it hadn’t occurred to me that I have to learn how to maintain along the way too,…

Thanks, guys. I’m happy, but just wish it was a little faster or more consistent. Mistizoom, I dunno... macro calculators seem to give me protein goals of abt 120-130... Sunny_Bunny, that’s amazing!! Wow, what a difference, desire the scale.

So glad to see this thread. I was feeling so bad about eating carbs over the holidays. I initially told myself it would only be for 2 days, but I am still not back to keto 100%. It's been 5 days :(. I have to stop but these carb cravings are no joke once I eat carbs again. I only gained 3-4lbs, but it takes me weeks to…

Thanks, everyone. I weigh all my food and I shoot for at at least 90g of protein but I'm not consistent about macros at all. I'll focus on macros for a few weeks and see how it goes.

I agree. LC is sustainable for me as well because I grew up with a high fat diet and it is easiest for me to reduce calories by reducing carbs. I feel better all around eating LC and even with this slow loss, I still have lost 22lbs this year. I know that I will lose again if I stay with it. Still, I am technically obese…

Yeah, no change lately...

Thanks, everyone!

Loneliness is a pain. Most of us need human connection and touch and I hope that you don't get discouraged and that you keep doing what you're doing to make yourself better and stronger. If you haven't done it already, therapy helps to figure out what else is missing and what can strengthen our connection to others. Nobody…

Hi!! We're almost twins but I am a little behind you: started around the same weight, am now at 179-181, in about 70 days. I'm going to send you a message to connect.

Thank you so much! Will b reading these resources now!

I find myself really disliking all sweeteners. Nothing tastes as good as white sugar for me, but the only time I miss sugar is for a cafe latte. Other than that, the only sugars I have now are sugar-free creamer and sugar-free jello, which I mix with cream for desserts once in a while. I'm only about 60 days in, but I…

I'm 5'3 and I shoot for 1000, figuring I am unavoidably off by 200-400 every day because I cannot find exact counts for some of my staples (homemade dry sausages, dried meats, etc). I usually go over even by my counts, so I would estimate that I eat between 1200-1600 on average. I try to keep my carbs under 15.

Oh, I'm sorry, should've given credit. I didn't take that pic, I just found it online randomly and wanted to show people who might not know what they look like. Alexandra, what you have are cracklings and they look AMAZING. The thing I tend to eat are the bigger pieces with meat on them, and no skin. Both are exceptional :)

I think that it is wonderful that you have come to share this perspective here, which is different from what we usually read, and that shows how complicated and complex our relationships with our bodies are and how contradictory our views of orselves can be. Congratulations on losing so much weight. Life is long and things…

you look 20 years younger. shocking transformation.

Thanks, guys. I think I am not going to measure for a while and see what happens in another 30 days.
-
Thanks for the motivation! I will up my cardio a little this next 30 days. 140ish would be perfect for me. Congratulations!
-
Thanks for the words of encouragement! I actually took pictures after you posted (I had pictures from day 1ish) and I CAN see a difference, even though my measurements show no loss. I'm actually shocked. Thanks for suggesting pictures because I wouldn't have thought of taking any so soon! (I'm sucking it in in both of…

Thanks! I set my own MFP goals based on my TDEEs. My BMR is about 1530 so I try to eat at least that and my TDEE is about 2,100 based on a sedentary lifestyle with 4 moderate workouts a week. So I try to stay between 1,500-1,700 calories and do not track or eat back any exercise calories. One problem I am having is…

Thank you. I am hoping to see some inches lost this next month to keep up my motivation, but I really appreciate your answer. Two years sounds so long, but I know you're right. Onward...

Thank you very much! I will start doing intervals after weight lifting. I could do 60sec running, 120sec walking on the treadmill for 15 minutes.
-
I'm in a similar boat. I will friend you too.
-
I did this the other day for the first time. It's amazing. Didn't realize it until you said it.

lol

My mini-goal right now is to keep up my gym schedule until the end of this month. I have just started 2 weeks ago, I love it, and have been very diligent about it, and I want to keep it up for the full month. I know it's not much, but it's so much for me.

"Fluffy" made me laugh. You did a great job!

Excellent! You look strong.
