  • Day 4. Eating meat isn't too tough... cutting out the sweetener is. I have cut down, but not out. My first cup of coffee for the day needs to be a little sweet, and I had a cup of coffee with creamer yesterday for dessert which is a no no, but oh so comforting. I did 'accidentally' eat hot dog chili the other night. I…
  • I am going to try for the All Animal, I had to drop out last year. I didn't drink enough water, got dehydrated and it freaked me out. I need something to get me back on track, I'm on day 2 of an egg fast, so it should be a good transition.
  • We decided not to have a traditional Christmas dinner this year. My grandfather is very sick, and my parents will be spending most of the day with him. Christmas evening we will just be having 'snacky' type food when we get together. I was thinking about making the perogies someone mentioned earlier with the fat head dough…
  • I used the Keto Calculator for a baseline, but at a 20% deficit it only gave me 1182 a day. I upped it a bit by that and try to eat 1/2 my exercise back.
  • It is going really slow for me right now. It does help to look back. I have lost 12 pounds since January, I didn't think it had been than much -- it definitely doesn't feel like that much. I still have 18 pounds to go. I just joined to the gym, so even though I still would like to loose weight, I am going to try to…
  • I am always open to new friends. The more people on your side the more motivation you have!
  • Yes, I am pretty sure this is it. I went to Ihop for breakfast Sunday and just got 3 sunny side up eggs and a side of bacon. I was going to ask for an omelette with fresh cracked eggs, but I wasn't sure if I would be able to tell if they followed through or not.

  • I did really well in October, so I am all in for November. That being said, I had a rough weekend, I gave into the dreaded Bright Orange Candy Bucket -- Like really gave in, yesterday I was paying for it, but so far I feel so much better today. • For the most part this is me too. After eating before mentioned yogurt or Peanut Butter I generally will search for something more... but find that what I use to like is severely lacking in something... and go of searching for something 'more' whatever that is.
  • 1. Not having prepared food in the fridge ready to eat 2. Peanut Butter 3. Yogurt Every time it is one of those three things!
  • I have done them a few times. I always loose weight, but I gain it back the majority of it over the following weeks. It does help as long as you transition back to low carb slowly. I breath I'm Hungary has fantastic recipes. The Buffalo omelette is my favorite. http://www.ibreatheimhungry.com/2014/07/egg-fast.html
  • @KnitOrMiss that is a really interesting article. I wonder if age and length of obesity has a tie in with that as well. My BMI was considered 'obese' for 3.5 years, although 3 or 4 years before that I would have been considered overweight. My BMI is currently in the White 'normal' range, but I still would like to loose a…
  • I made this last night, and it was delicious! Instead of bread crumbs I pounded pork rinds for the breading. We had broccoli as the side. My daughter loved it! http://allrecipes.com/recipe/70522/garlic-cheddar-chicken/

  • Congratulations! That is so exciting!
  • We are kindred souls! Lol. I also seem to be stuck at 145. It seems to be my body's happy place. I am 34, 5'5 and started my keto diet at 225. I lost 90 pounds in eight months and gained 10 pounds in the last two years. I have been LC on and off in that time, but have pretty dedicated for since Jan 1st of this year (where…
  • I do what @KnitOrMiss does. I make a main low carb protein, add a low carb side and if that isn't enough I will add another veg that I don't eat, like corn or potatoes. I dont buy 'boxes' foods anymore. My go to side is cauliflower and cheese, everyone loves that. With winter coming I will do more LC soups and heat…
  • I think people who don't follow this woe don't really understand. My husband is a prime example. He pretty much eats what he wants. He eats my meals that are low carb, high fat, and he eats the cakes and cookies and everything high carb on his own time as well. However, he goes to the gym everyday, runs 4 or 5 miles just…

  • I'm with @anglyn1, up your fat. The less carbs you eat, the less 'filler' you will need to get rid of, so you will go less. But, if you have a noticeable feeling that you need to go, coffee and fat have helped in the past.

  • This is my first post in this challenge, and I am hoping it kicks my rear into gear. Two years ago November was my lowest weight, and I am 8 pounds up from that. I would really like to be at my lowest again by the end of the year. SW: 145.2 GW (for Month): 143.2 I have two weekly goals and three daily goals 1. Pre plan &…
  • This is me. I tend to loose my mind when I eat peanuts or peanut butter! It starts a horrible chain reaction every time.
  • Richmond (The River City) Virginia!
  • Ahh.. truer words have never been spoken. I am lucky to have chickens. :) I was getting close to running out, but when I went to collect eggs this morning they gave me 6! I hard boiled a dozen last night, so I should get through with out having to buy any.
  • I didn't do the crepes, I was worried about the sweetener so soon. I had the buffalo omelet again. The eggs in the muffin pan didn't really work for me, I used 1/2 the recipe that way, and they were too fluffy, so I used the rest to make a thin crepe like omelet with the cream cheese and hot sauce, and that was really…
  • I am thankful that I was obesely overweight. It gave be the opportunity to become more knowledgeable about my heath, nutrition, and to meet such a supportive community! If I had not looked down and realized I weighed 225, and needed to make a change, I would never have been so aware of my body and my health.
