Poop scheduling becomes VERY important.

Eat whatever you want! Also, she should eat whatever she wants! If she has a problem with what you like to eat then you probably don't want to be with her. (Caveat: I would stay away from garlic just in case there is some hanky panky later. Just helps things go more smoothly.)

This is probably the best answer/advice on this subject. Trying to analyze why other people are horrible is mostly a waste of time. Try to weed these people out of your life. Also, try to avoid them from entering your life. This sounds hard but you can usually see the signals early on and trust your gut. Also, never ever…

I wouldn't say I hate resolutionists. (However, I'll admit that I do hate it when the gym is packed in January.) It's just sad and predictable that a vast majority of them will break their resolutions within a month or so. It happens every year like clockwork. The OP does make a great point about gyms using it as a cash…

The thing that helped me most is realizing that you truly have to want to do it for you. This is a lot easier said than done. If you want to do it to impress someone else, you are not doing it for you. If you are doing it to become some ideal like a model or movie star, you are not doing it for you. If you are doing it but…

Definitely more attention from the opposite sex. Not sure if it's because of superficial reasons or that I carry myself more confidently. Probably a combination of both.

No. Weight loss is not linear. There are many factors in play. A big one is water weight fluctuation. You need to track the long term trend of your weight.

Yes. This is common. I get this quite often. It sucks because it messes with my runs and can get me in a panic trying to find a toilet or, in a dire emergency, a strategic location in the woods. The theory is (from what I've read) that blood gets reassigned to your legs so your digestive system loses some functionality and…

I run/exercise because punching people is frowned upon.

My first question for you is why do you think you need Muscle Milk? You can get more than adequate protein from food alone and more cheaply. I mean if you don't like the taste then why not get the protein from something that you like? Whey protein shakes are really only necessary for convenience (or if you are a vegetarian…

dangit...why didn't anyone tell me there was a carbs are bad thread started. Now I need to waste hours of my life catching up. *Grabs popcorn*

I would say pick a routine that centers around squats and deadlifts. You can throw in some lunges as well. Lift heavy as well as a lot of volume. If you really want to minimize fat gain then be in a slight surplus. However, this may hinder your muscle gains as well.

Dammit now I need to go get some fried chicken!

True. Most people that are into fitness are not. Even the ones who may appear obsessive to a lay person. However, I think it's a positive to have a general awareness of it, but a mental health professional is the one who is qualified to make the distinction.

I think it would help if you are more specific about your goal. However, if you want to gain muscle mass you need to lift weights while in a calorie surplus. When you are in a calorie surplus you will gain both muscle and fat. The fat will most like deposit in the stomach and thigh areas first, but that's all dependent on…

Wow! That didn't take long to go off topic. I guess the word used is more important than the actual problem? Anyway, I definitely agree that body dysmorphia (or whatever name gives you the biggest warm and fuzzy) is a growing problem for men. It's not just being "big" either. It's also about being "cut" and/or having a six…

I do agree that just using BMI to assess the health of an individual is wrong (and this is especially bs when insurance companies us it). However, it is useful when assessing large populations because it is much easier to get large and accurate BMI data sets than it is to get large and accurate bf% data sets. Also, it is a…
