I read up on it a little, and most people don't recommended it, because water weight doesn't count for much and there have been instances of people having nasty allergic reactions to it. Maybe if you get hay fever in the summers than avoid it?

Yes, I've heard that. They have a lot of aspertane (sp?) in them, which is hell on your liver. The "diet" part of it is more accurate for diabetics, which is what diet sodas are originally meant for. You'd be much, much better off with regular soda. It isn't even that many more calories than diet. An 8.oz glass of soda is…

If you don't have time to make anything, just get some of those 100 cal. snack packs from the store. Or any kind of snack really that you can separate into portions. You do need to indulge in those things you want every once in a while, otherwise you'll go even crazier wanting them and they'll haunt you until you break…

I'm like a mom to my boyfriend; does that count? I am a gamer though. And I did dabble with Voltaire lust for a year or two in high school.

It can be really hard getting back into the swing of things, and even harder keeping up on it, but it really does make all the difference to change the way you think too. I certainly have the best results when I do diet+exercise+meditation to keep the whole thing from crashing around my head. Just remember that you can do…

I think it's way better to get on the ball earlier. People get all excited to start loosing after New Years but as you get used to the actual number of the new year, somehow your excitement fades and before you know it you've lost the entire desire to work out at all and it just generally doesn't go very well. Maybe that…

That's the best thing about this site :D tons of incredibly supportive people who all have the same basic goals. Adding.

If you want it badly enough and you're willing to invest in yourself, it's a definite eventuality :D Adding

5'5'', approx: 145-150 lbs. Don't own a scale, haven't even weighted myself in years because of shame that comes from seeing the numbers. Know I'm going to need to get one to be serious about this. Going to need a tape measure too, I have no idea of my measurements; let's just say that profile in the mirror is seriously…

I definitely have that problem :/ it's such a slippery slope. you have some junk food or sweets or something, and it's so delicious you want more. you haven't even had that much, but it feels like such a stain on your day, you feel like you've failed already. so you think, "well, as long as I'm doing SOOO bad, I might as…

I can definitely relate. Adding.

Count me in :D We're all in this together

that sounds delicious but like it would take so long to make D; that's one of my biggest problems, by the time I realize how hungry I am,it's urgent and I don't have the patience to do anything except for microwaving something instant :/

Not on those specifics but definitely on the abstract :D

What an enormous set of weights! I can't even imagine lifting something that heavy. I do the dinky little ones attached to the machines D; usually about 10-20 reps of 30-40lbs on rotation -_- I feel like a chump now lol

Count me in, I don't have any friends on here yet either. I definitely know what you mean about it being hard to loose when you're only moderately overweight. And it's even more difficult when you have zero or very little support!

Definitely up for this. I suppose I add you? Brand new at this, havne't even talked to anyone yet ^_^
