Hmm, i've found that Pamprin works pretty well for that.

Acetaminophen (500 mg - Pain reliever)
    Pamabrom (25 mg - Diuretic) ***
Pyrilamine maleate (15 mg - Antihistamine)

I've never tried dandelion root for bloating! :(

I think it's a bad idea. It's just a few lbs and they aren't really weight gain anyway so why worry about it? It's not like you need to make weight for any event right? Just let nature take its course.

My doctor reccomended dandelion as a natural liver detox... he didn't mention it for water...

Yes! I brew myself a cup of dandelion root tea a few times a week. I feel better when I do. Probably the liver detoxifying effects. Cleaning your organs is always a good thing. As far as water weight loss, could be good if you're trying to fit into an outfit for a night out, I suppose. I know from my French friend that in France, the name for Dandelions roughly translates as piss-the-beds. Ha! So, yeah, you'll pee some water out.

I read up on it a little, and most people don't recommended it, because water weight doesn't count for much and there have been instances of people having nasty allergic reactions to it. Maybe if you get hay fever in the summers than avoid it?
