It takes forever to lose weight when y ou get over 50. You had gastric bypass, that is easier than trying to lose 20 pounds once you get as old as I am.

I feel ya, I struggle with this also. I just have made it a habit over the years. I can't exercise early in the morning due to a heart condition so I break it up over the day. 40 mins walking at lunch, then a 30-40 minute jog after work OR today, I plan on spinning for 45 mins before dinner.

@ DynamicDiva, I hear you. I had a hysterectomy and I am over 50. It's almost impossible to lose weight once those two things happen. I just do the best I can anymore, if I don't, I will get discouraged. Congrats to this gentleman on his success!!!! :)

I did go over my calories but I am proud of the fact that I haven't hit 2000 yet... I am pretty full and done eating for the day. I plan to walk the dog for 45 mins this evening. Back on tomorrow! I am glad we don't have leftovers!

I am glad people are being honest about their binges. Last night at 10:00 pm, I was starving. so I binged on cheetos cheese puffs at least a handful. I made my husband take the rest to work this morning.

HAHAHA! I worked at a movie theater as a teenager, so I ate popcorn ALL the time but I was a runner and a swimmer so it worked out. I fried egg and one egg white fried in fat free olive oil and water, I small avocado smashed and scrambled with the egg. I made a huge crockpot dinner last night so I really am not that hungry today. Usually I have 2% lowfat Greek yogurt with berries or banana when I am in a hurry to get to work.

I have cut down on calories and I exercise, walking, or spinning, going to the gym 6 days a week. It used to work but doesn't due to my age. I am willing to try anything healthy.

I had the same surgery as Kari about 7 years ago. My doctor told me no physical activities except walking until after 8 weeks. It still took about 6 months to completely heal but I was back to running after about 4 months.
