I don't believe it at all. I've read a few convincing articles on the myth of 'starvation mode' as well and how the term is totally blown out of proportion. I think it just depends on your body, lifestyle and types of foods. Low sodium, fibre rich, etc

I'm 5'8" as well and definitely yes!! My highest weight was around 180 and currently I'm around 140. I find it hard to tell if I've lost any weight unless it's around 10lbs. It's a little annoying, but what can we do?

Dear lord. As a vegan I can say that I can see why other veg/vegans are a little annoyed by the label. I mean call yourself whatever you want but 'vegetarian' is very misleading

I'm 5'8" and to be honest with you being tall is a little more frustrating because you don't notice the change as quickly when you loose weight just because there is more of you! But a plus side is if I put on 5lbs I can usually only tell with the scales. I don't think it's any more difficult to loose the actual weight…

5'8" currently 142lbs, 10st 2lbs and size US 4-6, UK 8-10. I have a fairly small frame. (Edit: depending on the brand I can differ in between 3 sizes! It's not very reliable esp with vanity sizing these days)

Oh god when I used to be around 180+lbs I would only wear sweatpants. Literally every day. Jeans were a nightmare and for some reason I thought loose sweatpants made me look thinner when in all reality they made me look homeless.
