  • I'm surrounded by unfinished projects, both at home (scrapbooking, unorganized genealogical documents, photographs, landscaping) and at work (a historical society/research library - we don't have anyone who curates so all the donated items are piling up). These cause me to feel overwhelmed, guilty, and stressed every time…
  • Hello everyone! I'm new to this group and am really having trouble motivating myself to exercise as well as to eat better. Worse, I feel overwhelmed and out of control in the majority of aspects of my life, particularly as I am dealing with four aging parents and starting to have my own health issues due mainly to the…
  • I'm trying to reduce portions, and do at least SOME exercise each day. Sometimes it's regular activities like gardening and walking, and other times it's more-concentrated circuit training or cardio with DVD's and Wii programs. My biggest hurdles are ignoring all the snacks coworkers bring in, and not mindlessly eating in…
  • I'm not finding this in the Groups area - is there somewhere else I should look?
  • Sounds fun! Is it too late to join?
  • I'm in! Current: 180 Goal by Nov 12: 170 Goal by Dec 5: 165 Goal for Christmas 161 We can do this!
  • I'm 58, and while reasonably healthy, had to have my gallbladder removed in February. The very limited eating I had to do for 3 weeks prior to it (after an attack) and the gradual reintroduction of foods has left me 18 lbs lighter, with 22 to go, but now I'm struggling with re-learning how my body reacts to different…
  • I was recently diagnosed with fatty liver, and am ready to lose the weight and hopefully start reversing the disease a bit. Any of you, please feel free to add me and we can all improve our liver functions together!
  • I've recently been diagnosed with fatty liver myself, and was told the same thing by my doctor. I've noticed that my hands and feet are itching more frequently in a painful, non-rash way, which may be a sign of the damage spreading to NASH a bit. So, it's time to get the weight off and the better nutrition in! Feel free to…
  • I have 40 lbs to lose, too! I started back in today because I wanted to take advantage of this week off work to get myself back into more of a fitness mode so it'll be more of a habit once I'm back to my normal routine. And, I also need this week to hopefully get rid of a little of the Christmas pigout bloat so my slacks…
  • I'm also a yo-yo dieter who was thin as a child and seem to still think I can eat anything and keep the weight off. Please feel free to add me!
  • Hi there! I'm back to the path for healthier living with cleaner eating habits and trying to get in more exercise and physical activity. Feel free to add me if you need a like-minded friend!
  • I'm also flabby and 50 - well, over 50! Please feel free to add me - I'm ready to get back to it and FIRM UP.
  • I'm a saltaholic and am always shocked at how quickly it adds up!

  • I'm a stress eater, too, and would always rather eat junk food (salt is my weakness) over healthy. I lost quite a bit last year by eating healthier, plus doing a mix of cardio/light weights and really toned up, and then ate all winter and have put much of it back on... Feel free to add me as a friend, and we'll help…
  • Feel free to add me as a friend - I did great last year, but ate, ate, ate all winter so am ready to get back on track and this time, keep it off!

  • I'm starting back in, after losing last year and then most of it back over the winter. Feel free to add me as a friend if you'd like
  • Hi there! I'm getting ready to start my 4th month of 21 Day Fix and love it! I don't eat many of the carbs - you don't have to eat every container every day. I reserve my yellows for an occasional carb or treat. I don't eat alot of salads, and when I do, I like ones with lots of meat so they're more filling. And, some of…
  • Good cold morning, everyone! Well, cold here in Southern Missouri anyway - it was a relief to get up and find out that once again our wellhouse hasn't frozen up - twice in one month is more than enough for me!! Regarding prep - something that really helps me is to log in my entire day of meals while I enjoy my morning…
  • I, too, am addicted to peanut butter right now. I start off with a plan to eat one TBL for a little snack in front of the TV, and the next thing I know, I've downed half the container!! Seriously! What is now working for me is to measure out the portion I plan to eat, and then put the jar away. That seems to be helping to…
  • Well, Diane, it sounds to me like you still approached the entire weekend with a great mindset and did pretty good for the most part - most of us (ok, ME) would probably have binged a little more! And, the good news is, you're getting right back on track!
  • Good luck today with your "favorite" test! I'm jealous of you going out for a greasy, yummy meal afterward, but NOT for your upcoming procedure!
  • Ohhhh, yes, Snooozie, a small bag of Lay's French Onion chips will eventually be a treat I'll allow myself - delicious, but very very bad, that's true! Have you had dental work?
  • Snooozie, what a great message to start off the New Year! Hello, I'm new to the Hatters and excited to have found a group treating this stage of life with a little humor. For years, I was pretty thin and then started adding weight in my 40's. I joined MFP a year ago and lost some, gained some - that old yo-yo story, which…
  • Good for you! I, too, am wanting to improve my health and have a goal set to be able to hike part of the Katy Trail (MO) in May. Feel free to add me as a friend if you'd like, and we can motivate each other!
  • Hi there! i can totally relate, as I too have a job where I sit alot (although not all the time), plus have regained what I lost. You might try doing some isometric stretches while in your chair to help keep the blood flowing. And, take advantage of your breaks - restroom, lunch, etc - to get a little more stretching and…
