Thank you! Yes, I agree about healing.I'm trying to eat healthy while I am stuck recovering but I am not trying to exercise to lose weight, I don't want to sit here and eat cookies and chips all day - but I sure would like to.do that rather than "real food"!!! Ten years ago I lost 60 pounds. It was very tough and took…

Happy November friends. I have been working hard and lost nearly 30 pounds so far. I still have a long way to go but I am sticking to the plan. I had my knee repair surgery last week and it has really been rough. I am completely non weight bearing and stuck on the couch for on 2 months. I was worried About eating too much…

Lisa-thanks for the kind words. I'm not sure how to reply to an actual post or to drop into a conversation like you suggested. My name is Anita. I lived in SC and work full time in a Children's Hospital. I have psoriatic arthritis and need to do IV infusions for treatment so exercise is tough. I have lost 21 pounds with 60…

Good morning all. I'm so excited. I have stuck to this diet for one month. That's a win for me!! It was more than ten years ago when I found MFP and I lost 60 pounds. I gained it all back and then some but I'm determined to do it again. I'm not healthy and need to do this for me. The motivation groups helped me so much to…

I'm 53 yrs old and trying again. I lost 60lbs with MFP ten years ago but I gained it back and 30lbs more. I'm so disgusted with where I let myself get. I'm entering my 3rd week of trying again. Unfortunately, I am also dealing with a knee injury that will require surgery in a couple of weeks. This means no working out for…

Hi guys. I have psoriatic arthritis and Sjogren’s syndrome. Both auto immune diseases as well and I am on infusion IV therapy for maintenance. I’ve gained 30 pounds on a new medication and I have absolutely no motivation to work out or change my diet. It’s tough when you hurt. I hope we can be friends and support one…

Thankyou for your kind words! My best strategy was to keep logging my food in the diary. Seeing it written down changes everything!!! We got this!!

Dont be disgusted. I did pretty much the same thing. We are human! Just start again and be diligent. We can do this!

I would like to join. I am 5'5" and I weigh 204. My goal is 140 pounds. I lost 50 pounds four years ago and gained it all back. I am angry at myself but I know that I can do it. I could sure use the support.

Hi. I am looking for some more friends too. I did this 4 years ago and lost 50 pounds but unfortunately gained it all back after some serious family stress. I am determined to lose it again and keep it off.

Thankyou all so much. Please friend me and let's support one another!

Read some of your blog entries and they truly spoke to me. I lost 60 pounds two years ago on MFP and maintained for one year. I have gained 35 pounds back in 6 months after my child was injured and I consoled myself with fast food and junk and no exercise after physical therapy. Today is a new day and I will start again.…

cwolfman, you are probably right. I was religious about logging for 18 months-- even down to a breath mint. Now I "eyeball' my servings more often than I get out the measuring cups. I sometimes dont count Lifesavers or mints and the calories can add up fast. I need to re-committ to being very aware of what passes the…

I seem to be in maintenance too although I did not plan it either. I still have about 5 pounds till my goal but nothing is coming off and I am starving! I am going to have to devise a new plan.

When my job had an ice cream social party to thiank all employees for a busy month. There was all kinds of ice cream and toppings. I didn't feel that the calories were worth it so I just counted up what I would have normally eaten. My usual dish with topping was almost 1000 calories. No treat is worth that so I just had a…

Great attitude. I had a 3 year old and then had twins too. It has been a crazy whirlwind life. I let my busy life keep me from taking care of myself. I gained 50 pounds since they were born. The twins are 14 years old and my older son just turned 18. I have been doing MFP for 6 months and I have lost 36 pounds. I should…

Yep. I am with everyone else. I aim for 1500 a day but if I work out and burn 500-700 calories then I eat to about 1700 calories and still have some left in my calorie "bank". I am down 22 pounds in 12 weeks. So , EAT GIRL!

I was always super thin growing up. I ate anything and everything that I wanted. My family and friends called me the human garbage disposal and I lived up to that name proudly. When I grew older and started having children things changed. After I had my 14 year old twins my metabolism just stopped. I gained weight no…
