I started out walking around 5km a day then progressed to jogging when I knew my knees could handle it. Weekdays I jog 3km (1.6miles) in the morning or afternoon. Had a binge last night, but look at the week in whole, see how many calories I've burned in total and I figure if I lose 0.9kg in a week rather than 1.0kg because of alcohol, I'm not going to lose sleep over it. Got to have some enjoyment on this journey :happy:

I recently purchased the F4 and it's terrific, so much more accurate in calorie counting than the "iphone or droid" apps. The F7 which is more expensive has the capability of logging your data straight onto a spread sheet, but i find the F4 more than suitable as you can still log your progress manually on MFP or polars…

Polar FT4 up against a Polar Elliptical, links in with the HR monitor on the machine, but the FT4 over a period of 30 minutes shows 100 calories less than the machine, I tend to believe the Polar FT4
