I like to make omelets with dill, smoked salmon, and feta. Sometimes a bit of avocado too.

Actually, hormones aren't strictly relevant to the calorie calculations - they're just assuming that women have a higher body fat percentage then men (generally true), and therefore have lower daily calorie burns. A cis man and a cis woman of the same weight, activity levels and bf% will have the same calorie burns. (See…

Oooh, thank you!

I hope there was a zero missing from the end of that 200  Congratulations on finishing your cut, and also the successful bulk!

The last three months have been more of a recomp than a bulk - only up by a pound. At the end of February I hurt my back (really still not sure how) and wound up essentially taking a month off lifting. I'm back to lifting now, but I need to be better about meeting my calorie goals. Unfortunately my appetite disappears when…

I knew being trans was a thing for years before I finally realized that I was. I tried taking it slow, and I know it works for some people, but personally I didn't feel happy until I jumped in feet first and made myself over all in one go, as it were. Taking it slow just made me feel even worse because I knew what I was…

David's teas' chocolate chili chai is the only tea with chocolate I've been impressed by. I generally make it with half hot milk, half water. I looove genmaicha - green tea with toasted rice. The rice adds a nice nutty flavour. Chamomile is nice, and chamomile steeped in hot lemonade with some honey is lovely for a cold.…

I like it! I did 5/3/1 before, but I couldn't regularly get to the gym 4x/week, so I fell quite behind on it.
-
Hi! I think we're doing the same routine. Enjoying it so far?
-
Average calories over the past 2 weeks worked out to about 2200, and my average weight dropped by half a pound. Not sure what's responsible for that, so I'm just going to focus on meeting my 2500 goal and not make any changes for now. Still enjoying All Pro's, and I'm feeling good about everything but OHP lift-wise. Curse…

Awesome LBM gains!

I keep assuming I've posted here, but it appears I never did! GQ, trying to make my body more masculine and seriously debating top surgery. I'm most comfortable dressed somewhere in the middle, although I usually stick with men's clothing because I like the cuts better. I'm always happy to meet other trans people, and if…

That's a real landmark PR there on the bench. Way to go!

About two weeks in now and my average weight has gone up to 136.9, which averages nicely to .25/week. Lifts are going well, and I think my NEAT has increased since I was cutting, since my work hours have increased and I'm generally bouncier and more energetic. I'm feeling pretty pleased so far!

Hurray for more food!

I'm all too familiar with the whole "feeling bad about feeling bad" thing. Glad to hear that going back down is helping things. :)

I see you're on nights too! It's really a pain to go from days to nights and back again, but at least my night job involves free caffeine.

Saw it in another post, and dang your schedule is crazy busy. I can definitely see why you'd need more rest.
-
Absolutely fantastic progress on your lifts!
-
The shaken green tea with the cool lime refresher instead of water is pretty yum.
-
Dang, that's a fantastic calorie goal! I agree with cmeirun and PrimalRunner - my weight always does weird fluctuations before settling down on higher or lower, so I hopefully you'll see a jump soon.
-
Awesome increases on your lifts!
-
Oh whoops, I'm not sure how I mixed those up. :blushing: Still, 90 bp is great too!
-
Great job with your deads!
-
Fantastic work managing a 90lb (or over?) on your OHP! What were you pressing before you started bulking?
-
Hi, I'm littlebudgie. I found this group through cmeirun, and it seems really awesome. I've been dithering about whether or not to bulk for quite some time, and finally jumped into it feet first last week. If you're wondering why my profile has an M on it but I'm posting here, it's because despite being female-bodied I…

When I was around 4 or so I hated peppers. My mom told me they were important for staying healthy, and I told her I'd like them when I was older. Now I love them.

I really like snacking on snow peas, especially with some hummus to dip them in, and they're also nice in stir-fries. You can also shred a bunch of spinach and pan-fry it until it's wilted with garlic, finely sliced onions, and a touch of sesame seed oil. Mmmm.

Mussels and other shellfish are great sources of iron. Chocolate is a pretty darn tasty source of iron, but keep in mind that your body doesn't absorb iron that isn't from meat sources as efficiently. You can increase non-heme (non-meat) iron absorption by consuming it with a source of vitamin C. A good example of a dish…

I highly recommend You Are Your Own Gym. There's an app, but the book is even better, because it shows you how to modify exercises to make them easier/harder.
