  • Well the labor day weekend and back to school chaos really threw my routine out the window. Lost some motivation with the healthy eating and excercise but I'm slowing pushing myself back into it. I need to work on getting in my fruits and veggies and getting back to 5 days a week for the excercise. I made my Labor Day goal…
  • Eat almonds on your way home. Cut up fresh veggies and eat those while fixing dinner. Eat smaller meals every 3-4 hours. Drink LOTS of water. Keep experimenting to see what works for you. If all else fails go to bed early!! :)
  • Crockpot Mexican Chicken - Shredded chicken (cooked), black beans, salsa rotele tomatos w/ chilis, bag of frozen corn, chili powder, salt and pepper. Simmer for 4-5 hours and add 1/2 fat free cream cheese bar if you want it creamy. I ate mine on a bed of romaine, but could put in a pita or tortilla shell. Yummy.
  • Down 1.5# this week and on track to reaching my Labor Day goal.

  • This was me last night!!! Thankfully my pantry has not been stocked with the really bad stuff for quite some time. So oh well I had a few crackers, peanut butter...its not the end of the world. Drink a big glass of water and get right back at it. Trying stepping away from the pantry (LOL) and go do something outside, shop…
  • My sweet tooth has been way more controllable since I cut out the diet soda. Eight weeks and counting. Know I just want a small morsel of good dark chocolate about once a week.
  • I've found I have a lot less sugary cravings since eliminating the diet soda. I used to have a big sweet tooth, but feel I have much better control over it since quiting 8 weeks ago.
  • OK. Here are my goals. The family is headed to Gulf Shores, AL for Christmas, so this will be great motivation. • Good morning from the Tr-Cities. Feel free to add me and good luck!!
  • Stick with it. I had only been losing about a 1/2 pound for weeks and then finally, week 6, of doing exactly the same thing I had a 4.1# loss. If you know you are tracking calories accurately and keeping in your alloted calories your body will eventually stop rebelling. You could also try switching up your exercise…
  • Ok, so since I looked different options up ahead of time and everything was loaded with sodium, I decided to make the best choice while giving myself the treat of eating out. I had 1/2 steamed veggies and 1/2 steamed rice (but only ate 1/2 of that rice). And had the black pepper chicken and veggies which was one of their…
  • Walk with a buddy, get some new music to walk to, log your time and try to increase your speed, distance, and/or time spent walking. If you are walking outdoors and have an iPhone there is a great app that tracks your route and can tell you how far you walked, your pace and calories burned. And then stores all your…

  • hmmmm....Are you weighing and measuring ALL of your food? Calories can creep in there. Maybe its time to revisit the doctor and see if he has some suggestions.
  • Can you get your thyroid checked? Its a simple blood test, but in know it can affect your metabolism.
  • If you are doing weights 3-4 times a week for 30 minutes you may be building more muscle mass which will weigh more. Did you take starting measurements (waist, hip etc.)? Do your clothes feel different? Just don't give up. All that new muscle mass has got to kick up that metabolism. Good luck!
