  • Yes, I had this happening to me not too long ago. I am 5'3 and 116 pounds, and MFP calculated my calorie goal to 1200c. I started doing P90x (weight lifting) and started running again - nothing over the top, 5-7k. Soon I started feeling unwell and I could tell I was not getting the results I should be getting with my…
  • I used to work with a lady who would do her nails every night to match the colour of her next day's clothes. Finger and toenails. That, to me, is over the top. Eyeshadows... It depends on the outfit and general style.
  • Thanks for all your responses it gives me hope it can be done !
  • I love my chariot CX2. It is light even with the 2 kids in. It was a bit expensive but as a pp suggested maybe look into a used one ?
  • Ditto to what previous posters said. Easier said than done but try to go for walks too, it helps alot. Or prenatal yoga or swimming if you prefer.
  • My daughter weaned herself about 2 months ago. While breastfeeding I tried very hard to lose the 55 pounds I gained during pregnancy, I started doing P90X and started running again. I added 500 cal for breastfeeding plus whatever calories I burnt during exercise, which was giving me about 2000 cal a day. It took me on…
  • It works for me. I am alternating between P90x and running, and eating around 1200 cal/day. Worked after baby #1 and is working too after baby#2. i am 5'2, small built tho. Try it and see for yourself, you can adjust if it doesn't work for you.
  • I had so many I now have a mini-gym at home
  • Well that's strange because I just got back on MFP this afternoon after a break of 4 months and I could have written exactly what you said. I also put back on 10 pounds so here I am wanting to loose them... again. Story of my life. I can totally relate with the scale being the main motivator. Again, same here. What I found…
  • I don't think this will create a catastrophe. Make sure you stretch well, drink plenty of water and be well rested. If you injure yourself, then it was just waiting to happen unfortunately. People don't get injured for "over-training" only one extra day... and once in a blue moon :)
  • I have one cheat meal every week or else I'd go crazy.
  • Im so sorry this is happening to you :( I wouldn't normally suggest this but, is there another bill maybe you could give a little less this month to cover in full the water bill ?
  • I agree it depends on how you say it. You never know what people are going through in their lives, so keep that in mind... How would you feel if a friend would randomly message you/comment on your diaries when you eat too much and not as clean as you should ?
  • I hate it. If you are looking to burn calories quickly, you will burn way more with a threadmill. Maybe not the first few weeks, but when you will build enough cardio to jog at a 5, 6 mph pace, your work outs will be way more effective.
  • I feel like burning calories by doing household chores should be just gravy... they are not work outs by any means !!! I even saw once someone logging in 'typing at the computer', burned 50 calories. Like, really. How much more in denial can you be ? ETA : Most of us tend to underestimate what we eat anyway, so even if you…
  • Also a good way to add (healthy) calories is to add olive oil when you cook, or some almonds as a snack. These suggestions should add 100-200 calories easily to your day and they are healthy fat.
  • You need calories just to exist, so you must take that in account. I don't eat back all my calories exercise, sometimes half, sometimes none. Many people will tell you it's wrong, but I lost all the weight I had to without ever feeling tired or hitting plateaus. If you're not hungry, if you don't feel tired, if you still…
  • I sometimes do and I sometimes don't depending on what I ate during the day... I mostly don't eat them back. It has worked great for me so far !
  • if the white embroidery is large, I wouldn't wear any necklace with it as it would maybe be too much ? Maybe big gold/turquoise earings and/or a cuff bracelet ? I agree with the brown belt and the white capris, it will give you a very fresh/spring look ! Indigo skinny jeans would probably look great too. For the shoes,…
  • Thats why I don't go to the gym anymore. The one near my house is filled with grand popas who have nothing better to do than stare at all of us younger girl's boobs going up and down while on the threadmill and IT REALLY CREEPS ME OUT
  • Thanks everyone you all gave great ideas I like the driving range / go cart tracks that sounds like lots of fun :D
  • hum if it were me I'd sue his *kitten* in court. Maybe he's a slacker but probably at one point in his life he'll HAVE to have a job, people won't always put up with his behaviour and always hand him everything he needs. So when he'll have to work just like everyone else because of the court order he'll have to pay you…
  • That's great. What really helped me losing the last pounds of baby weight was to start jogging. It's really hard at first but now I have to admit I LOVE IT. I also eat lots of homemade soup - lots of homemade broth (chicken, beef or vegetables) and I add barley, chicken or beef for a good source of proteins. Lots of…
  • Without seeing your diary it's kind of hard to tell. Can you try to exercise by doing something different than walking, maybe playing a sport ? Shaking your exercise routine a bit might help you. What kind of food do you eat ? Do you keep track of your sodium intake ? Do you eat processed food ? Do you weight your food on…
  • It depends on many things - your current weight, your height, how active you are, female/male etc. Im on a 1200 cal / day, but Im 114 pounds, 5 foot 4 and besides my jogging/work outs Im not very active.
  • 1) why did the friend say it would be best to not talk about weight loss and fitness around your daughter ? Since you said the friend talked to your daughter, I wonder if its because your daughter confessed being fed up with these topics ? Hows your relationship, could it be her way to 'rebel' against you ? 2) While it's…
  • Im sorry you are still hurt... I totally understand, I would have been mortified.
  • Ha, thats what upsets me the most in the first place : I work SO damn hard to make sure what he's got at home is good that I find it insulting when he still needs to look elsewhere. But it is nice to read all your replies it def. puts a new perspective on this.
  • Wow, you are very secure in your relationship and you have not one ounce of jealousy in you to say such things. That is great. I think I've been cheated on one too many times to feel so secure. I hope you never get your heart broken in this way.
  • I don't look at other people. As I don't go shopping when I know I have no money to spend. To me it's totally a waste of time... Many of you are right, it is about me, not about my husband - I need to accept my body will never be the same again :frown: Still it felt good to get it out and thanks for reading
