Never heard of this before but it's good you have a doctor's appointment. My more pressing question, after looking at your food diary, is why is your caloric goal set at 600?

So me disagreeing with the article that you quoted and disagreeing with your lecture to non-breakfast eaters (who clearly have had success) is attacking you. 10-4 Roger that.

You know, I have read some threads on here from time to time, of women starting to get fit because they were motivated so strongly by a person (spouse, family, friend) telling them they weren't good enough. Or sometimes it was a boyfriend/girlfriend that that broke their heart and they were motivated to jump into weight…

If you wanna get technical, I'm pretty sure you can keep track of how much water you used in the pot of coffee and just log that amount. Then when your done with that, you can log the calories from the actual coffee that you consumed in your coffee in your food journal. Then a problem will arise when your out and about and…

First bolded statement: How do you know? Second bolded statement: Yes, you are correct. So take your own advice and stop trying to tell peeps if they miss breakfast they are gonna be in "big trouble, mister". The derp floweth forth on this thread.:noway:

Guns, Germs, and Steel by Jared Diamond. His theories are interesting as to why some cultures progressed faster and stronger than others. He talks a lot about the animals and food back then.

I find that wine is not as caloric as one would imagine. Cocktails, perhaps. Wine ain't too shabby, which is YAY all around.

"Meeting a deadline" sounds innocent but has a sinister origin, so it stuck with me. If I remember correctly it was coined from Civil War times. The "deadline" marked the boundaries of the prison camps, so any captive soldier attempting to cross the deadline was shot.

I quit smoking in 2007. Anticipating the weight gain thing, I started going to the gym and "dieting". I figured if I was gonna be miserable I would do it all at once. Cold turkey all the way. I did gain all the weight back plus more but that was because of having a kid, and of course, why I'm here now.

Great tip! Thanks for the share, will definitely try this.

1. OP doesn't like labeling foods. 2. OP proceeds to label food.

I use whey protein in mine. Have tried Body Fortress from Walmart and Gold Standard from GNC. I found cooking the oatmeal with the powder made it lumpy. To remedy that, I mix a scoop of powder with a few tbs of water (or milk if you have cals to spare) and pour it on after, kind of like a glaze. I'm currently obsessed with…

I love my oatmeal! I add dried fruits and nuts, some ground flax, fresh fruit, and a scoop chocolate or vanilla protein powder. About to have some now, as a matter o' fact.

I weigh at the gym every monday. I stick to the same scale there (they have 6 of em) and the same time. I did notice my sneakers alone were a 2 pound difference. Thems some heavyass sneakers.

Water? Yikes. A couple weekends ago I made french toast (lots of cinnamon) topped with bananas, drizzled with syrup, and a dollop of homemade whipped cream. It's been too long.

Similar stats here. Height is 5'1 SW 200 CW 174 Been at it since Jan 2013, some weeks I stay at the same weight but the overall trend is still going down so I stopped stressing. I do TDEE - 20% so I eat 2000 cals a day and practice IIFYM. I have been strength training since Feb so while the scale is moving slow I do see a…

I mix it in with canned tuna, 2 tbs does the trick. Add tomato and whole wheat and it makes a fabulous tuna sammich.
