Berries aren't high in sugar (for fruit). They are the lowest in sugar of all the fruits. What kind of diet are you doing? Are you doing low cal? Low carb? I don't restrict fruit and one of my favorite treats is those squeeze bags of baby food. They are about 60 cals...

You may experience a temporary weight gain due to water retention from drinking (I can gain up to 4 pounds), but if your week overall is at a calorie deficit, you'll see weight loss.

I picked a desired clothing size. When I got to that, I stopped losing weight. (OK, gained some back...)But I was surprised that the clothing size I chose was about 10 pounds higher than what I estimated. I'm very tall.

I don't eat out a lot. Everyone is giving great advise for how to eat out healthily. But, I usually have a weight gain. It's not from eating too much or going over my calories, it's from most restaurants loading everything with way too much salt. But it's not fat gain, it's total water weight. Just a few days later and…

If you are on Beta Blockers, those can artificially lower your heart rate. Definitely something you should talk to your doctor about.

THANKYOU! For not saying it was due to muscle gain. :-)

I'm half marathon/marathon training right now. I'm working up to running for two hours at a time right now. When I do a 2 hour run, I'm fueling every 35-45 minutes to make sure I don't start using muscle. I'm pretty sure that you breaking your exercises up one in the morning and one at night isn't the same as someone…

I did the C25K program 2 years ago. Now I'm training for a half-marathon. Right now, I'm coaching a friend through the C25K program and we're starting week 2 tomorrow.

I have a sugar addiction. When I'm off sugar (cane and corn) I have absolutely no problems with my diet/exercise anything. I get a little bit of sugar in me and my brain goes...ZZZZZZZIIIIIIINNNNNNNNNGGGGGGG! WE WANT MORE!!! I did it once for about 1.5 years -- and then I got my tonsils out and the only foods I could eat…

I didn't like using my phone for HRM and GPS. My phone weighs a ton while running -- it's jiggly. Plus there's the whole problem where I have to tap my screen to get it to work and if it went into sleep mode -- completely impossible. I think it's great for tracking, but if you're running 7 miles and you're trying to keep a…

I love my GARMIN 110. It's a great starter watch. Not too many bells and whistles and fairly affordable.

Add me as a friend too. I'm trying to get reinvigorated again in my weightloss and some new buddies would really help. :-)

You might need more fat in your diet. I know that when I go on low fat diets, I get clogged. Try adding EVOO or coconut oil to some of your foods/meals.

Totally AWESOME!

Congratulations! Best feeling in the world. Now you need to get a race bib!

You can find a lot of training plans online. I'm training for a 1/2 marathon (20 weeks away) and I found a great plan online. It has me running 3 days a week in the beginning then up to 5 in the middle and back down to 4 towards the end. I'm working on my speed and endurance, so I make sure that two of my runs a week are…

I think that for me, the biggest paradigm shift was in realizing that I don't need those things and I've gotten out of the habit of wanting snacks or treats. I feel that with the replacement method, I'm not learning new behaviors -- keeping the old ones, but just using different foods. When I would go off the "diet" I…

One time someone told me I'd be good looking if I wasn't so tall...

I think the best time to work out is when it fits into your schedule. :-) However, there is a lot of research out there (just google Exercise time of day) and you'll get stuff like this: +++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++ While there is specific research being conducted on this topic, unfortunately the answer to the…

Coughing with your mouth open on the tread mills. One time this guy next to me was just hacking away and I nicely asked him to please cover his mouth. He actually yells at me, "I HAVE ASTHMA!!!" So I calmly said, "My mistaked. By all means, please use that as an excuse for your bad manners." He moved to a different tread…

I have an EatSmart scale. It's great and accurate!!! Well worth the investment.

I'm 5'10" and I started this long journey at 244 pounds. I lost down to 155, but gained back 15 since last May. I just started on MFP to get these 15-20 pounds off as I thought I needed a reboot. Please do friend me. I've got a lot of experience getting it off -- and trying to keep it off. (Which is harder than losing in…

If you were on a very low carb diet, it could be glycogen depletion and dehydration. Neither of which mean that you actually lost any fat - mostly you probably just lost water weight and muscle mass. But the side effects are really hungry and really thirsty.…

I've got a fitbit one also and it's fabulous! :-)
-
Thanks everyone. That makes sense. Actually, the Fitbit reporting and the manual reporting was pretty close.
-
If my fitbit is logging the exercise, and then I manually log the exercise then that's counting the same exercise twice. But of course, I want to log the greater calorie count of the two. I guess I'll wear my fitbit and see how many calories it logs for yoga today. Then I'll make the decision. I'll keep you posted. :-)

You can add me. I'm new to MFP also. :-) I reached my weight-loss goal in April of last year and gained back 13 pounds. So, not only am I a newbie, I've also already been there and done that. Also, if anyone also wants to friend me, I'd love it too! Andrea
