Drain and add some hot sauce (tabasco, texas pete, etc.) right out of the pouch or can. I also like traditional tuna salad with very little low fat mayo, onion, pickle, hard boiled egg and pepper to taste.

I drink water most of the day, then have Diet Rite Cola in the evening. It has 0 Calories, 0 Caffeine, 0 Sodium.

I don't think you should schedule cheat days, as in one a week or every sunday. It's true that one cheat day for me can ruin an entire week. I try to stay within my goals, but if I absolutely have to have something special/extra I just do it. Next day I get right back to it. Now this doen't hold true if I eat Pizza. For me…

I'm no expert, so take this with a grain of Mrs. Dash. The fat burning zone is the optimum heart rate zone for burning fat. The cardiac/fitness zone is the optimum zone for increasing cardiovascular health, strength and endurace. I'm sure someone will chime in who is more knowledgable.

Ads like these are based on your search history / patterns. As the previous poster stated, the cookies on your computer play a huge roll in what ads you will see.

You said you have lost 4lbs in a month. Sounds about right to me. Just keep doing what you are doing.

I kinda lied above. My NordicTrack is a 2570 PRO. Sorry for the mistake, don't pay much attention to the model when I'm using it.
-
My NordicTrack 2170 or 2190 has been good for 3 years now. I'm sure I overpaid a bit for the name, but it's been reliable for me and my DW.

Nice post. I usually see post everyday about how mean people on mfp are. Bravo!

This is perfect. Thanks for posting. I love me some egg Mcmuffins, and now I can eat them again. Woot!
But you didn't gather any data, qualitative or otherwise, of any sufficient amount to do anything useful. More offensive than being dishonest, you're being sloppy. Shame on you.
This exactly.

Good Point.

I do think it was a bit rude and unethical for you to post this for research for an article without stating that upfront. Seems kind of slimmy too me.

That is how it acts when it needs the battery changed. Even though you just bought it, it could have set in a warehouse for months. I would change the battery. Also wet the strap at the point where the Heart Rate device connects to the strap, the entire 10 inches or so that is different from the majority of the strap.

This is Normal. I had the same question after losing for two weeks then gaining the next 2 weeks. A forum member posted an article about how we gain up to 4lb or don't lose when starting a new exercise program. Sure enough the following week I droped almost 4lb's. Just hang in there and give it about 4 weeks to see what…

I think it has been said enough in this thread, but MOVE ON!!!

This has to be a troll. No way it's a real post.

For exercise induced asthma it is recommended to use your rescue inhaler, i.e. albuteral, 20 minutes before exercising. I also believe that you should see an asthma specialist. It sounds as though you are not well controlled. It could be from incorrect maintenance medicine or you not using it as prescribed.

Thanks for posting dude. I am the same age and started at about the same weight. This post gives me inspiration and belief that I CAN DO THIS!

Make sure to log your "cheat days". I know for me one cheat meal at a pizza joint and I can undue all the work from the previous week. There is also a great article on here somewhere that explains why we stall or gain 3 - 4 lbs when starting a new workout. Apparently it's normal. It was for me anyway.

Don't know if the big retailers do or not. I went to a local running store to get my gait checked. From that time on I just research which shoes fit my needs. From there just trial and error.

I love my Nike Pegasus. They are the only Nike shoe that compares to Asics Nibus (not sure I spelled that right) line. Both are a neutral with good cushioning.

I just completed day 37 of Stew Smiths 45 Day Begginner program. Has been good for me so far. It's Free http://www.stewsmithptclub.com/45dayplan.pdf

Add me if you want. I am just now getting into biking, 2nd trip out today, since I got my license some 21 years ago. I also enjoy a day on the lake swimming and general water activities. I scuba dive and love being in and around the water. I have a tremendous amount of weight to lose, but my ultimate goal (a year or so…

I have experienced this myself. Everyone wants encouragement, but rarely can they take the time to offer encouragement.

You should go somewhere that can help you determine if you over/under pronate or possible are neutral. You will need different shoe types for whichever you are. In my opinion it is very important to get the proper shoe type. It can go along way to prevent injury and make the run more enjoyable.

Go or don't go, only you can make that decision. I would, however, suggest therapy to deal with the abandonment issue and/or any other issues. Just my 2 cents.

I did it for a while. I went during the free sign ups, bought the books and calculator, then only went t meetings once per month ($12 month). It worked for me. I lost weight and kept most of it off over the past year. It is just another way to count calories, if you don't do the meetings.
