So, I am jumping into this conversation late, but I just started heavily jumping into weight lifting about 2 weeks ago. I am 5'2" (so basically, short) and trying to reduce my body fat percentage a bit while also getting toned. In the past 2 weeks, I've put on a couple lbs, but I've already lost an inch around my waist.…

This is why I just log my food into myfitnesspal so that it'll sync to the food log in my FitBit app and I use the calories burned in my fitbit app to create a deficit. (For instance, according to my fitbit app, I'll burn 2100 calories by midnight so I should have eaten about 1600 calories to have a 500 calorie deficit for…

Same size, but instead of being cottage cheese looking, it's firm and tight. Ye-yeah! Boobs on the other hand have shrunk a bit. =\ Oh well. At least they came with a smaller waist too.

I've always been told that you do cardio then strength. Something about your muscles burning more productively when you're at your target heart rate. I may be misinformed, but it's worked for me. Sometimes, I'll do half my cardio, a set of each of my weight lifting, and then the other half of my cardio and another set of…

I went from 36 inches to 33 inches on my hips in about 2-3 months of working out 45 minutes a day, 3-6 days a week. It's important to mix cardio with strength training. Definitely the most effective way to take inches off.

I'm maybe a tiny bit thinner than you at present moment (116 lbs at 5'2"). Like other people suggested to you, I'm just focusing on cardio and building muscle/toning up. I've learned the number on the scale really has no relevance to me at this time. I'm just tired of being "skinny fat" (still small, but "loose" and kinda…

Haha! So true! I hate that I can't go into the weight room at the gym without blushing and having to keep my eyes to the floor.
