  • After 2 months you won't miss it at all. The first 4 weeks is by far the hardest. Don't let the people in your life (or online) bully you into straying from your path. So many of us feel AMAZING eating Keto, and the cravings do disappear. Be strong bannfox. Or if you need a little treat and haven't cut out artificial…
  • I usually start craving strawberry jam. I never eat jam when I'm not dieting, but as soon as I can't have it my mind won't stop thinking about it.
  • The general consensus seems to be not to worry about hitting that magical "fat" intake. However last time I was going keto, at around the 10 week mark my mental health deteriorated pretty much overnight. At the time I didn't make the connection between my diet (which had been going great!), and the sudden desire to end my…
  • We share the same story Lori! From #3-8, AND the 20 pound re-gain after falling off the wagon. :( But we're back! Go us! I'm going to add you!
  • I haven't read 6 pages worth of thread- but it's only a 2 week stall. Likely if you were losing weight previously that there's nothing wrong with your current eating habits, your body is just catching up. Give it another 2 weeks and I reckon you'll see a weight-loss whoosh. Be patient.
  • @bowlerae Chocolate cheesecake bars, um, please share the recipe!

  • Thanks for the advice (and overwhelming love and support!!) everyone. Funny how the mind works, I just want to listen to the one that says "eat more fat", because I'd like it to be that easy. I was erring towards not enough fat having an adverse effect on my hormones which triggered it? Looks like I'll go to the doctor…
  • @katyamendoim Water and electrolytes. So supplement salt, potassium and magnesium. Lite-salt or something similar will be fine for the first 2, I find 1/4 teaspoon works fine (plus liberally salt all your meals). Magnesium you can get in a capsule, or you can drink it along with your potassium. Epsom Salts in a foot soak…
  • Personally, I feel wiped out for the day if I do morning exercise regardless of what I'm eating. My body just doesn't like to do it early in the morning. I either have to find time between 10-2pm if my children sleep, or later in the evening. I hope the electrolytes work for you!
  • I count calories. I'm a big snacker and am still getting out of the habit of mindlessly munching. Tracking everything that goes in my mouth and setting a "limit" keeps me accountable- regardless of how active I am.
  • Protein may be the cause. http://www.phlaunt.com/diabetes/43067167.php I get it's not a scientific article, but there still could be something to it. The first few times I went LC I ate just meat and cheese and had terrible breath. I'm doing it differently now with a better balance of fats and protein and I don't have a…
  • Eat when youre hungry, for sure. Some days I'll must have a shake, other days I'll practically eat my fridge. Listen to your body, once you get past carb-cravings, it certainly knows what's best.
  • Checking out Coles tomorrow, looks fab! Though you're better than me, I'm gonna dip cheese in it.
  • But I LIKE jogging
  • OH. MY. GOSH. How did I forget how rubbish it is detoxing off carbs? Yesterday was only Day 2 back on track with my eating and an hour after waking up I felt murderous. Not ideal with 2 small children in the house, one who constantly asks "why" and the other who repeats "uh oh" only about a thousand times a day. I indulged…
  • Thank you so much for the support everyone. I really did just need to get it off my chest. Seems it was all just fancy words though, as I ended up binge-ing again that night. As Dragonwolf pointed out though, I'm still alive so it's not too late ;) 15 days of very bad food choices and I've put in 2.1kg (not at all…
  • I usually eat leftovers from the night before if I couldn't be bothered whipping myself up something in the morning!
  • I'm looking forward to this. I have two toddlers and they're not interested in eating much at all. Most days. On the odd occasion they catch me off guard, usually when I haven't brought much food along with us on an outing.
  • Haha okay thanks all. Everyone always has different ideas on how things should work! I'll experiment as I start running more and see what works for me.
  • Endomondo is my go-to aswell. Not sure exactly what else I'd want an app to track that'd make it better?
  • Exactly what @Magic_Chicken said. If you need to go slow then go slow. I can't help with the repeated weeks, but I slowed down drastically as the weeks progressed just so I could get through it. If you want to repeat a week though, go back to week 2. For sure. By the time you do that again you'll forget why you were even…
  • Sounds fantastic! Yes please!
  • Congratulations, that's awesome :) I just finished Couch to 5k and was impressed with myself for running for 30mins. You're inspirational!
  • Awesome, that's what I thought too. Thanks for for the advice :)
  • Finished C25K on the treadmill about an hour ago. I was so excited that I did 5min warm up, 40mins of running and then 5min cooldown. My numbers are all over the place though, my treadmill says I did 4.52km, my fitbit steps say I did 5.61km, and my fitbit distance says I did even more (though I get the feeling that may not…
  • It really depends on your macros and calories :/ I like to make a big batch of beef bolognese sauce and then just reheat portions with wholemeal (or vegetable) pasta. I'll also dice up some chicken and season it with cajun. I generally do a few days worth of that aswell and just eat it cold. Also great to add to a salad ;)…

  • Thanks for the advice, sounds good. The only problem is fitting in the longer runs :P oh well, I'll have to make time. Haha thanks @rebeccatherine, I thought it was pretty cool too xD
  • I know I sound like one of those annoying optimistic people; but the more you lose the more fun it gets, the more you want to lose. It's a nice cycle :) I don't normally add friends on here, but feel free to add me if you'd like :) I've been on the weight-loss wagon for 2 and a half months now. I love feeling my clothes…
