Pretty unanimous. Yes, I log ALL fruits and vegetables, because they are all calories. Lose weight, calories in MUST be less than calories out. (used)

Exercise and diet are the only ways to lose weight. There are a lot of "lose weight quick" schemes, but that's because they are thinning out your wallet.

What about your H2O intake. When you are taking in a lot of protein, you HAVE to drink a lot of water. Being de-hydrated can make you feel very sluggish.

WOW! Awesome difference. Great dedication.

Fantastic results. Congratulations to you. Way to take over your life and be able to apply good strategies for the future.

I am 68 male, active and I eat about 1100 -1200 calories a day. Even when I exercise I still eat the same amount. I have been losing about 2 lbs. a week. I am always full. If I need a snack I usually have an apple or a pear.

As the Chinese say " the longest journey begins with one small step" or something like that. Welcome aboard.

Yeh, I feel the same way. I was going to the movies to see Zero Dark Thirty with my neighbor. I ALWAYS get two boxes of candies . I thought "every 100 calories is 10 minutes on the elliptical, It's not worth it anymore".

Some people are just *kitten*. You should feel good about yourself and what you do is your business, no one elses. Just being here tells me that you are proud enough of yourself to want to attempt a change. We all will have setbacks at times. A true warrior will accept setbacks and go forward. Remember "What doesn't kill…

From a mans point of view. If he's a few years older than you (39) he may be having feelings of inadequacy. If you are in shape, the younger guys still think you're hot. Not many young women think older, out of shape guys are hot. I have been there and still am, I guess. EX body-builder, kiteboarder, ANY adrenaline sport…

Apparently you don't have to worry about cholesterol. I have to watch mine so I have egg whites. I DO love yokes but they don't love me.

Take it one day at a time and consider every day you achieve your goal,"a victory". Pretty soon, you are where you want to be. The problem with that is people have a tendency to stop doing what got them there and revert to their old ways.
-
Totally agree. Worst is psychological, thinking you're going to "starve" to death. Usually the problem is that you end up "gorging". If you didn't do that " no worries".

Weigh in right away. That way you will have a base to work from. If you lose 2 lbs. between now and next Friday, you will have lost that with no encouragement. Do it before breakfast and always at the same time.

Everyone has a hiccup every now and then. Don't beat yourself up because of it. Get back to work and do what you were doing and never look back. Next time you have those urges, think about how hard you have worked to get where you are. I went to the movies the other day, where I ALWAYS had 2 boxes of candies. I thought"…

I'm on statins also. To bring your cholesterol down, exercising will help a lot.

I'm 68 and wanting to drop about 35 lbs. I just started, this week. My goal is 2 lbs. a week.

Kris, You're on your way. 15 lb. loss already is great. I wish I was that far along. I used to tell my sons, when they thought something was insurmountable . You can do it the same way you can eat an elephant, "one bite at a time". Weight loss is the same way. Take one meal or day at a time. Having friends here is going to…

I competed in amateur body building in 1997. 2nd USA, 2nd Worlds and 2nd Natural Universe. I would eat 100 % protein and fat for 5 days and carb for 2 then start again. I dropped from 195 to 155 "shredded" by the end of competition. It worked great for me. We considered protein "anything with eyes", and also eggs

I wouldn't put it on MY head. Neck injuries are sure to happen. My friends have had extreme shoulder injuries putting 20-25 lb. boards on roof racks, NOT 50 -60 lbs. Be very cautious. Always get help with that much weight.
