I agree. I love 2 egg-egg salad. Put it on a piece of wheat toast or even some wheat thins (which I always keep in stock). As far as veggies go, since I am not a lover of frozen or canned, I usually supplement a multi-vitamin anyway, so when I run out of fresh veggies, I just skip them until I can get to the store.

I love low-fat cottage cheese with blueberries or mandarin oranges (canned). Or a big protein shake with a banana or strawberries in it. Try also, Eggo makes a whole wheat waffle that is awesome and spread a little reduced fat peanut butter on it, and slice up a half a banana on top...yummy!!

This sounds amazing! Can't wait to try it. Have you ever figured the calorie count on it? I imagine it is pretty low cal, high protein, just wondering if you have already done the math?

Well for breakfast I had a protein shake (1 scoop Max Protein Chocolate) 1 cup 2%milk 1cup ice, 1 tbsp peanut butter /reduced fat and half banana...blend well and enjoy Lunch I am eating now, and it is wonderful. Flatout LIGHT original flatbread with a thin layer of cucumber garlic yogurt dip, one seeded roma tomato, 4…

All brands are different and then you have to take into account cut, style, fabric. I personally have found that jeans with at least 1% spandex tend to stretch out less, and fit more true to size, while jeans like Gap boyfriend jeans have no spandex and stretch tremendously. I agree that you should buy them a little snug…

I have the Wii Fit and Wii Fit Plus, have used both since I got them, but not regularly. I would love to join this group, and for the past 2 months I have been (semi regular) using my Wii every other day, then the treadmill and weights on no Wii days. I burn more calories on the treadmill, but I love the boxing and yoga,…

I was thinking this too. Maybe instead of an instant breakfast shake, you could do a nice protein shake and add half a banana and a tsp of peanut butter. This will make it more filling and you will get extra protein and a fruit serving. I am not much of a breakfast eater (I want to wait a few hours) but I am going to force…

If I could get back into a 12 I would dance naked in the streets....no, seriously!

How do I see public food diaries? It would help me to see other peoples daily menus for ideas.

Thanks so much for this way of looking at my fluctuations! I work so hard and watch everything I put in my mouth and work out daily, only to get on the scale sometimes and see a 1 or 2 lb gain, or no loss at all. Then a few days later, 2 lbs lost. I have to be down another 8 lbs by Dec 5th and it just isn't happening fast…

Usually totals about an hour (but I should probably do more) 5 times a week. I alternate with WiiFit and incline training on my treadmill, but today I did a solid hour on the treadmill weightloss program which alternates hills with sprints for 60 minutes. I burned 597 calories and went 3 miles. I thought that was pretty…

And strength training helps strengthen your bones. I don't how old you are or m/f but with women over 40 especially, weight training is very important. I say it can't hurt, and will most certainly help. Plus it will spice up your work-out.

Well, I weighed today and lost 2.5 more lbs. but I have steadily been doing this for 2 months now, and working out almost everyday burning anywhere from 200 to 400 calories a day + just normal daily calorie burn (i.e. walking , laundry, throwing the ball with the dogs). I guess I just thought with my drastic lifestyle…

Coffee in the morning, then Water, Water, Water...but I usually add a packet of some sort of Crystal Light to my water after my workout (plain water with my workout). I gave up diet Cokes awhile back and have been amazed how my sweet cravings have gone away, though now I worry about the artificial sweetner in the Crystal…

I usually have a greek yogurt with extra blueberries added for breakfast. For lunch a tuna packet with 1/2 tbsp mayo and celery and cucumbers and a pack of Special K 90 cal crackers (italian herb) For dinner a big salad, a small chicken breast, and some kind of veggie and brown rice. Snacks are usually string cheese and…

Did you stay within your nutritional goals? No Did I reach yesterday's personal goal? No What did I do yesterday that I am proud of? I didn't snack between meals What would I have done differently? Stayed away from fatty breakfast items and alcoholic beverages What is today's personal goals? WORK OUT, WORK OUT, water,…

Yes, I do horrible on the weekends too, mostly from going out to dinner with friends and drinking alcohol, or attending weekend parties with little finger foods and cocktails. I'm up two pounds from the weekend! It's very distressing to think that just because I want to have a normal activity like 2 martinis on a Friday…

Let me ask you something. Do you drink diet sodas? I was a candy bar a day person, sometimes two...I would sneak them, literally and hide the wrappers. I gave up my 3 diet Cokes a day when I decided to get healthier, and guess what? No cravings for chocolate since I started drinking at least 60 to 80 oz of water a day.…

Ok, here are a few ideas for your lunchtime menu. I know it is hard to stay away from processed foods because they are much easier to fix at lunch (especially in a work environment). I go out, and go to a small family bar-b-que place and order the KIDS meal that comes with about 4 oz of chicken (no sauce, no skin), and…

sounds yummy... I love the Laughing Cow cheeses....great flavor, low cal. Awesome.

I boil alot of eggs on Sunday so that I can have them for salads, breakfast, snacks...whatever. Then I can grab them all week long. They are a great low cal-high protein breakfast, with a piece of whole grain toast or an apple. I also like cottage cheese with fresh blueberries but I don't know what that would do to your…

Well, I love hot dogs, so here is my version and it is easily translatable to tailgates or whereever you want to take it. 1 whole wheat hot dog bun = approx 90 calories 1 oscar meyer bun length dog = 170 calories 2 tablespoons of Kelley's homemade black bean & corn salsa = 15 calories 275 calories   …

It's everything I can do to burn 200 calories during cardio without passing out, so girl, if you are burning 700 calories you should have a parade in your honor. My fat hat is off to you, and keep up the good work.

You sound exactly like me, and to boot I was a diet Coke fanatic. What I found was, as soon as I gave up the diet cokes, I stopped craving the sweets like chocolate as much (I used to eat a candy bar a day). I still want chips and salty snacks, but I try to keep easy snacks handy like smoked almonds, pretzels, 100 calorie…

I have been off and on for about a year and a half. My motivation comes and goes. But this time I am going to do it, and you can too! Stick with it and I wish you the best of luck.

YOU CAN DO IT! You are here, right, so you want help. You have your mind set on it, but we all have setbacks. There is this book, I think it is called Eat This, Don't Eat That or Eat This, Not That. Basically it lists tons of restaurant chains and gives you the healthier choices to make when faced with that decision. It…

I use the boil in bag brown rice, but I always use fat free/low sodium chicken broth when I boil it instead of water. That gives it a nice flavor. Also, the pre-minced garlic (about a tsp) added helps too.

Some very good people told me (at a moment of dietary frustration) to always remember this: It is a Marathon, not a Sprint. You are in this for the long haul, and not just to fit into that bikini this summer. I agree totally that if you look at it like a diet, it is too easy to fall off. When you view it as a lifelong,…
