  • PS - I should add my own personal experience. Since December 2011, I've lost 10 lbs, and I've done it in stages. First, my weight fluctuated between 148-151 lbs, then it was 145-148 lbs, and it kept slowly going down to now I'm fluctuating between 137-140 lbs. In that time, though, I've lost 5.5" from my waist, 1.5" from…
  • It's quite natural for your weight to flluctuate btwn a few lbs, though. Within a given day, your weight can fluctuate 2 lbs. Trust me when I say that eating healthy and exercising will lead to the weight loss you want. 'Tis better to do it slowly, but surely, then try to rush it off. Also, remember that how you feel and…
  • Gaining muscle burns more calories, and fat, in the long run. Strength training is an important part of the weight loss journey. I've been doing that throughout mine, and I've still lost weight. However, (most recently) I've also lost 5" off my waist, 1.5" from my hips, and 3.5" from my bust. So, I say combine cardio &…
  • The answer would be, "yes." If you know you're going to have a big meal, then of course, it's OK to eat less calories at your other meals. (Just don't skip any meals!!!)
  • Primarily Gap, Banana Republic, and Old Navy.
  • If you think weighing yourself would hinder your progress, then absolutely do not weigh yourself. :) Instead, go by how you feel and how your measurements change. Go by how your clothes will start to feel looser and how much more energy you will have. Trust that you are not a waste of space. You are a beautiful person…
  • WTG! I love the shrinking feeling. Keep up the great work.
  • As everyone has said, getting your thyroid checked is a good place to start. However, I'm also going to suggest that you start adding strength training to your workouts. It's great that you're doing cardio, but you also need to build muscle. One of the benefits is that muscle burns more calories than fat, which helps boost…
  • Omigosh, please don't ever leave! You are loved back 10-fold for all of the love you give. It means so much. It sucks there are people in this world that would mock you. You're right, we need more light & love.
  • I love this post, Ed! What great inspiration & motivation. Have a great day! Hugs-n-love, Debbie :)
  • That's awesome! I've done modeling for photographers too (fun, not professional) and it's a blast. I ended up w/some great photos of myself in the process. Btw, your starting weight & goal weight are the same as when I started my weight loss journey in 2008. I achieved my goal weight of 140 in March 2009, and maintained my…
  • I have missed you so! I've been M.I.A the past few weeks b/c of computer issues (stupid technology!) and have honestly missed your uplifting posts. Thank you so much for being you and brightening my day.
  • Thank you. :flowerforyou:
  • I proudly call myself a turtle! I firmly believe that slowly, but surely, is the way to go. I've said from the beginning that I'm on a journey. It's been an wonderful journey and it's definitely been a lifestyle change.
  • I was 616 under my calories today, and wasn't hungry, either. However, I did get a little hungry, so had a mozzarella string cheese and 2 spoonfuls of peanut butter. I'm still under my calories & my tummy is content. However, like others have said, if you're not hungry, then don't force it. One day is being really under…
  • Thank you!
  • I did a 3 day cleanse, as well. I thought the shakes tasted yummy & can't wait until I can become a coach and start drinking them daily! I'm actually doing Chalene's 30 Day Organizational Challenge and my Push Goal is to be a Diamond BB Coach by this time next year. :)
  • I'm trying to put yesterday into the toilet & flush it, but it's still sitting there in my tummy! LOL I'm so glad days like yesterday are NOT the norm for me and I can't wait to get back on track today. I've already done a morning workout & I plan to kick some butt at the gym after work today. I'm not letting some…
  • This smiley doesn't even begin to show how big my smile is! I'm grinning from ear to ear & you've got my heart smiling, too. Thank you, thank you, THANK YOU!!!
  • Ed, Thank you for your support, and a special thanks for your service to America. You, too, are amazing in more ways than 1. Have a fabulous day! Debbie :)
  • Lausa & Lily... I always thought I didn't have the strength for feet pushups, either. However, until you get on your feet, how do you know if you can do it? Even though it's harder, I suggest getting off your knees.
  • gjulie... My back isn't the best, either, and it doesn't seem to have affected my back. Actually strengthening your back can be good for it. If you have doubts or questions, though, I would recommend asking your doctor. Better to be safe than sorry!
  • vsyates... then, try my little challenge. :) It's very motivating to see the improvements from week-to-week. Heck, even daily improvements! Start it for the month of July, and let me know how many you can do by July 31. You might surprise yourself!
  • Thank you!
  • Good morning to you, too, Ed! I hope you're feeling better. May you have an awesome day w/your kiddos. Take care of you & have a blessed day.
  • DJ Got Us Falling in Love - Usher
  • As Tweetie said, "Thank you for making my heart smile." MUAH to you! I hope you have a fantastic day, cowboy!
  • Seriously, awesome! Not just the fish, but the fact that you lost 187 lbs! WTG!!! :)
  • I've got hips, too! I know I couldn't fit into a skinny jean or legging in a size 2 b/c of my hips & thick thighs. Never say never, b/c I never imagined I'd wear a size 2, either. :)
