I had Mirena several years ago, and it was awful. I couldn't lose weight, I had horrible mood swings and heart palpitations. I got it taken out and lost 5 pounds the next week. I now I have Paragard which is hormone free. Every "body" is different, though. Mirena may not affect your weight like it did mine. Good luck to…

YES to all of this! I was going to say all these exact same things, and you beat me to it! It took me a whole year to figure all this out. For 2017, I started taking measurements/pictures, started eating MORE and started lifting weights. I hid my scales and only weigh once or twice a month. Obsessing over my weight…

Awesome! Keep going. Eventually, your every day struggles to get healthy will become habits. You can do it!

Same here! I can't even tell you how many times I've linked my Fitbit to MFP to give it another try, and it just does not work for me. It is DEFINITELY psychological! I push the button on my Fitbit to time my workouts, and then I manually enter those exercise calories into MFP after I sync. So far, that has been the best…

Amazing transformation! Surely you go everywhere shirtless now. ;)

What a transformation! Congratulations! If you don't mind me asking, what is your SW and CW? I am also 5'9". :)

I LOVE this new picture of you! You are beautiful and look so happy.

Thank you everyone for your input! It looks like I need to be more strict with my calories in and not focus so much on my calories out. I exercise because it makes me feel good, but I also like the extra calorie padding. I have lost 30 lbs, so I've done something right along the way. It's just been a very slooooooow…

Mostly, yes. I have noticed that I am hungrier since starting strength training. I don't enter in all of my exercise calories, so I'm only eating back some of them. I am set at 1500 a day.

My rings, watch and Fitbit have all gotten loose on me! I moved up a few notches on my watch and Fitbit, but unfortunately, I can't do that with my rings. I am going to wait until I am done losing weight (100 lbs!) to have them sized. In the meantime, hot glue on the back of them keeps them on. Then it will peel off when…

Yay, you! I am so proud to call you my MFP friend. Congrats. You are beautiful! :) <3

What a transformation! Good for you! :)

Nice work! :)

Congratulations! You look great! How tall are you?

I used to weigh every single day, sometimes more than once a day. It would completely stress me out when the scale would go up, and I wasn't consistently losing the weight. So, now I only weigh Monday morning and Friday morning. It has REALLY helped! Now, I just bust my butt all week making sure I stay under goal and…

Amazing work! You both look great! Congratulations on your marriage. :)

Like the OP, before and after pics keep me motivated! I may not have a big change on the scale, but looking at monthly pictures really shows my progress. :)

You look fantastic! Congrats on your success, and good luck on the rest of your journey! :)
-
Good for you! Keep it up! :)

You looked beautiful in your befores, but even better in your afters! I love the comparison pics with the same tops on. It's crazy to see how different they fit. Congrats to you! :)

That's awesome! Congrats! :)

Nice work! :)

Great work! You look wonderful!

I also have a Charge HR. I have MFP set to lose 2lbs/week, so I'm given 1730 calories a day. I do NOT have my Fitbit and MFP linked. I did before, and eating back ALL of the Fitbit adjusted calories was NOT working for me! So, I manually enter in half of my daily exercise calories into MFP that Fitbit calculated. Sometimes…

53lbs gone! I finally lost those last 5 stubborn lbs. I feel more motivated than ever to continue on to lose the additional 78lbs! :)

What a wonderful, well thought out and well written post! I got on the scale this morning to see that I am up 3lbs after having not lost any weight over the past 3 weeks. This part......."Or you can choose to feel better. To do well. To succeed. You can embrace those jiggling wiggly bits. You can be proud and stand up…

Congrats to you! You can really tell a difference in your pictures. You and I are on similar journeys. Today is day 100 for me, my SW was 280, CW 260 and I am 5'9". Good luck to you throughout the summer to reach your next goal of 200. :)

Thank you! ;) Thanks! Me too! Thank you! Good for you, as well! That is great progress. :) Honestly, no! I LOVE my Charge HR! I've had 3 different Fitbits, and this is by far my favorite.

Ha, I love this! I laughed all the way through reading this......only because I went through the same exact thing with that stair climber! I added a little more each day, and then I became obsessed with it. I no longer go to the gym, and I miss that thing so much! It always felt great to see my sweat drops all over the…

Fantastic! Congratulations on your dedication, hard work and overall success. Keep it up!
