So, I tested this theory by going without my B12 vitamin for a few days. I still got headaches plus I feel tired & run down so I'm going to start back on them tommorow.

I've been taking B12 & also get headaches but never connected it. I'm not going to take them this week & test this theory.

You have kindness in your heart too :) Starting out at the gym is hard for anyone especially in this case, discouraging someone or making them feel uncomfortable is unforgivable. Koudos to those who try to make new people feel welcome & accepted! If everyone were this accepting of other's differences the world would be a…

I completely agree, drink lots of water & it will go away. I weigh friday mornings since when I eat too much sodium, it's usually on the weekend.

What I love most about your pictures is that as you got smaller your beautiful smile got bigger. Thank you so very much for stepping out of your comfort zone to share your pictures & story with us. In doing so you've inspired so many people, including me :)

That is truly inspirational!!

This matches what I heard from someone who had a reduction....so all in all they'd be about 10lbs total. Feels like more when you're lugging them around though...
-
Good luck Lisa! You can do this!
-
Thank you everyone! Finding others with similar goals & situations will help out a lot :)
-
New as well & also in need of support, feel free to add me :)

I'm close to my first 10 pound loss & was just thinking about this today. I haven't decided yet but these are all good ideas.

Maybe you could offer to make some of the meals when you visit his house, his Mum might even appreciate it. I've learned, very recently, that you can make just about any foods in a healthy way with a little help from google. So I'm sure you could find meals he'd enjoy.

This is so true for me too. It is easier to move forward & not hate myself for the past when I know others have made the same mistakes. I really appreciate the honesty of my fellow MFPers.
-
I'm very glad to hear that you're in remission! Your health is a very good reason to stick with it, Good Luck!!

Mine was when I happened upon the MFP app on my phone & out of pure curiosity decided to log that days meals. Wow...I was shocked, over 2500 calories, way over the fat recommended & so much sugar that I was grateful I had not yet become diabetic. Have stuck with it for nearly a month now & have no plans on going back to…

If you google marijuana and weight loss you'll find that medical marijuana is perscribed as a treatment of weight loss in patients with AIDS. So I'm guessing it wouldn't help with weight loss. Very interesting topic btw :)

Congrats on your progress so far! Another reason you may have gained but lost inches is that you're building muscle. Muscle weighs more than fat but takes up less room. I completely agree with taking measurements along with weight, without the measurement number it becomes easy to get discouraged.

Thanks for sharing your story...I'm only a month in so I realllly need the inspiration!

I have a few triggers....snacking at night while watching tv, so I try to keep cut up veggies & stuff to snack on & also cut back on the amount of tv I watch. Not having a meals planned is a big one for me as well. Dinner time comes & I'm hungry so I just grab take-out because it's quicker. Also MFP helped me realize that…

I was wondering the same thing & the first article posted by Ladyhawk was very useful to me personally. Thank you both :)
