  • Yep, I log my lifting under cardio. Welcome to MFP. Feel free to add me to your friends list if you wish. I log on every single day.
  • Thank you for this post! I'm a slow runner, around 11-12 minute mile with my fastest 5K pace being 10 minute mile pace. I also do intervals for longer distances, there is no shame is walking. Like the one gal said, a mile is a mile. It is so hard not to compare yourself with others isn't it!? I often have to remind myself…
  • Feel free to add me! I log daily and aim to workout 4 or 5 days week to include running, biking and weights. Started running a couple years ago and never thought I'd get to a point that I actually enjoye it. My pace is not fast but I like getting out there. Will be doing my 2nd Half marathon in 3 weeks! Congrats on your…
  • Most days my breakfast is either a whole wheat tortilla, 1 whole egg, 2 egg white, with homemade salsa, a little cheese and two slices of turkey bacon OR an egg omelet with spinach, tomatoes, green onions with turkey bacon.
  • Good morning! Feel free to add me if you wish. I have been on here almost 2 years. My weight is coming off super slow but I know it is because I don't always make the best food choices. I am 41 years, enjoy running, walking, kayaking and being outdoors I log on every day and will offer support and encouragement.
  • Maybe this is a dumb question but I am asking it. When doing the lunges do you count 1, 2, 3, 4....or 1,1, 2, 2, 3, 3, 4,4, ...
  • Question. I am in Stage 1 and getting ready to start Workout 4. I have been doing the workouts 3 times a week. Once I finish week 4 and am ready for the AMRAP rounds how many times do I do the workouts? Bonus workout 1 once? How many days until I do the before the 2nd bonus workout? I apologize if I am asking a repeat…
  • I use my FT7 HRM all the time. I've noticed the machines at the gym read exactly what my HRM reads and I am not even 'touching' the machines to check my heart rate so I assumed the machines are some how reading my HRM. Is that possible? It's what makes sense to me because when I use the machine w/o my HRM is shows nothing.…
  • I just got the book and am excited to get started. I too am confused on how the workouts and worksheets work. I think I've found the answers I needed to make sense of it all from this group. Thanks!
  • I too do not eat "clean". I TRY to make smarter choices but still love to eat the bad for you food like bacon, pizza and burgers. I know the weight would come off a whole lot faster if I was much more strict with my diet but I am happy with enjoying everything in moderation and working out most days of the week. It is…
  • I have the Polar FT7 and love it. I plan to purchase a Garmin eventually to use when I run as I would like to know pace and distance while running. (Right now I run routes where I know excact distance) I will always use the Polar FT7 HRM when doing other workouts besides running just to know my zone and calorie burn. So…
  • Have you considered the P90X/Insanity Hybrid workout? You can download the workout sheets from beachbody.com.
  • I've done several 5Ks. The Color Run was my first "themed" run. Registered to do the 5K Foam Fest/Mud Run in Columbus, OH this June and can't wait.
  • That sounds super delicious! What did you use to spice up your tilapia and green beans.?
  • In the mood for Mexican and have been wanting to try a recipe so I had a not so healthy dinner of Dorito Chicken Mexican Casserole. Breakfast and Lunch was healthy today prepare for bad dinner even though I was wayyyy over in fat. :( Tomorrow is a new day.
  • I did The Color Run in Columbus, OH last summer and had a great time. This summer I am signed up to the 5K Foam Fest/Mud Run and looking forward to it.
  • I recently started Insanity and also try to run 2-3 days a week. Personally Insanity kicks my *kitten* and I can not do a double work out on those days. I've been experiencing knee pain and have decided to do the P90X/Insanity Hybrid program thinking the strength day in between will help my joints. I will sometimes…
  • if you are experienceing knee discomfot your landing way to hard and you should slow down and improve your form. I do work at my own pace because I realize that I cannot keep up with the folks on the program. I am a stickler for proper form and always keep that in check. I am beginning to realize that I just cannot do…
  • Thanks for the tip. I will check that website out. Even after just a couple weeks I miss the weight training from P90X. Starting the P90X/Insanity Hybrid Saturday.
  • I think I am about to try the P90X/Insanity Hybrid. I think I need something to put in between those consecutive high impact days! See if it helps with my knee discomfort.
  • I just started Insanity and am debating an every other day workout plan too but because I am experiencing discomfort in my knees. I just finished P90X but I was alternating some of their cardio days with jogging and working out in the gym. I personally struggle following a set schedule and realize my results may not be as…
  • I'm 5' 8" and currently at 192 and wear a size 14 pant but can get in to size 12 depending on style/brand. I, however, carry my weight in the middle and upper body. Goal weight is 165. Long time ago I was 135 and a size 8 but had a hard time maintaining that. 165 puts me at a very comfortable 12 and some 10's and a healthy…
  • I am on my second day of Insanity and currently using my running shoes. Thinking of going shopping soon to search for a pair of court shoes. I am not currently experiencing any foot discomfort but would like to try what they suggested. Good Luck! It is definitely the most 'insane' workout I've experienced but I like it!
  • I weigh in first thing in the morning after going potty and wearing nothing but my birthday suit.
  • I'm in! Although I missed yesterday's challenge, just now saw it. Maybe I will try to squeeze those in too! Will post tonight after work.
  • Done! I did 12 sets of 25 with about 25 seconds of rest in between.
  • Challenge accepted! I'm in!
  • I use a heart rate monitor. Actually use the heart rate monitor for all of my MFP logging as it is for me; age, weight, height etc. After each workout I create the specific exercise on MFP and enter time and calories burned. Highly suggest one, they are great.
  • I am 5'8" and chose my goal weight to be 160-165-ish. At that weight I am usually in a size10 or 12 and feel fit and healthy. In my early 20's I got down to 135 but found that very hard to maintain. Started MFP this January at 202 lbs and am currently at 188 lbs, still chugging along. Keep on keeping on everyone!
  • I also use HRM and create exercise for each P90X workout. Then just log time and calorie burn per my HRM.
