  • Ah wow I really didn't think around 1800 cals would make me lose muscle aswell! hmmm ok ill try upping my cals. Thank you.
  • I get you bro, but its not an ego boost when your the only one in the room lifting at the time haha. The weight itself isnt an issue to push, its a reasonable weight for me i just didnt have the form right. Thanks for the reply though
  • Yeah see ive got a high protein diet going on at the minute and i can physically see muscle gain :) imagine its a combo of fat loss revealing more muscle but im getting stronger as time goes on. Been sloppy logging on here and just been note padding it all lol. Thank you though! i was always sure to get lots of protein as…
  • I am currently on 2000 and under....working out 4 - 5 times a week and losing on average 2 - 2.5 lbs...Best bet is try it for a week and see what happens. Listen to you body and learn the amounts it needs to drop fat with exercise incorporated.
  • Thank you for the reply guys! it was defo down to my form, was not seated back properly so my back curved. I think ive nailed it now ;) thanks again
  • Yeahhhh it is really, a few months back I was on roughly 1400 - 1500 calories and was hungry all the time with the amount of training I do so I upped my cals a bit (which is when i got my first loss in a while) also with water I don't log it on here as much as i should but have 5 - 6 550ml bottles a day which is around 2.8…
  • Basically with my chicken I have it in my sandwhiches and put in the same amount every night (I did weigh it when I started doing this) so I know its pretty much the exact same amount everyday. - Your definitely right about the cheese pockets and bread...didn't even notice that. Ill weigh my chops tonight and see what it…
  • I normally go for a 20 minute walk which is normally about a mile which isn't a lot...but if you do it 5 times a week on your break its 5 mile+ a week! :)
  • Hey ill defo give that a try...Is there a way to increase my Protein goal on MFP do you know? im thinking around 1500 - 1800 is my maintenance as that's what ive been on without weigh gain or loss for the past 2 months (albeit bad foods quite often also) but MFP reckons 1800.

  • According to MFP - My estimated BMR is: 1,824 calories/day - Which is why I started on around 1800 and exercised frequently which seemed to work slowly (which I know is the best way to do it) I went and got some almonds today funnily enough! (never have before) going to use that sort of thing as a snack if the hunger kicks…

  • Yeah I see what you mean there! what I meant was I stalled for around 2 months and THEN stopped logging because I got frustrated lol 2 months on and im back ready for the fight again. I will be closely watching my weight/tightness of clothes etc if I do increase cals slightly and monitor myself :)

  • My weight stalled for about 2 months +2lbs -2lbs continuously staying around the same. So do you think if I up my calories my body might start to drop fat again? im worried that increasing cals may stop me hovering where I am and increase my weight. I just stayed at maintenance while I had a bit of time off, kinda got…

  • Yeah apologies for that, I had a couple of months or so where I didn't log but kept my diet roughly the same (August 16th and previous is logged). Im around 5'7 but have a good amount of muscle which explains my weight for my height. Ill try upping my calorie intake as suggested :) What did you mean by Calorie dense foods?…

  • That's awesome going I think! Drink is always my downfall on holiday as I only really drink once a month at home so when im away I like to try different spirits/cocktails haha. Hope you had a great time.

  • Thanks a lot! :)
  • Hey Rabbit, Sounds like you are keeping well on top of everything! Im going away to Spain on one of these all inclusive deals so going to try and just mind what I eat as the food is all cooked for me and get as many steps in as I can like you! Hope you are enjoying yourself as well though! :)

  • Hey, thank you for the advice! it is much appreciated. I sorta thought dropping my cals was the best move if it wasn't working. Do you think a reefed day once a week is to often? I looked at your profile! well done on everything you've achieved, very inspiring stuff man! I am trying to not focus on my physical weight TO…
  • Hi everyone, the names Matt. I have dropped around 2 stone and am now trying to shed a bit more using MFP as I am a bit stuck! I currently weigh 13st 10 (about 190lbs) (i am 5ft 6) and want to get to 175ish. Stuck on around 1860 cals as MFP suggested over the past 2-3 weeks and ive put on about 2 lbs so ive dropped it to…
  • Hey, Yeah I believe I am logging relatively accurately...I do some form of workout 4 - 5 times a week whether its boxing+weights or krav maga which can be a mix of different things so it's hard to log that. The only liquid I have is water with a bit of diluted squash in it (about 4 calories, no sugar etc lol) so I normally…
  • Hey, Yeah I currently weigh 190lbs and would be happy between 175 - 180 so looking to lose around 10 - 15lbs. Your definitely right about doing it slowly! ill stick where I am for a couple of weeks and see if it works. Thanks a lot!
  • I honestly think if you start eating a bit more you will see weight loss. Good luck!
  • This is something I am just learning myself! Scales say my weight is roughly around the same it has been for 3 - 4 weeks now! (give or take 2 - 3 lbs) yet my work trousers I purchased about 6 - 7 weeks ago are hanging off me and im reaching new slots on my belt! Definitely good to just look at your body as well as…
  • Ah great! so It's not going to kill me going over it slightly now and again as long as my Calories are in check. good stuff! thank you.
  • Protein is good, get as much of it as you can. Considering you don't have any internal problems to advise otherwise.
  • Eat more food my friend! The super low calorie diet just leads to yo-yo dieting! Eat your cal limit, exercise a bit and stick with it! You can do it.
  • Ah that's very reassuring! thank you for all of your replies! I am away on holiday for the next 5 days and but I am going to try and be good! will stick at it when im back and keep going. Thanks again.
  • Im quite new to this myself but heres my opinion for what it's worth.... If you weigh 350lbs you are eating far to low calories at 1600 - 1800....My limit is 1850 and I weigh around 198lbs at the minute. Are you eating any/much food with fat/carbs/proteins in? or just fruit, salads, nuts etc? Your body needs fats and carbs…
  • Movement = calories burnt so if you walk 100 steps or 10,000 you have still burnt calories = done cardio.IMO
  • Yeah see mine is 1917 I believe! and my calorie goal is 1850 according to MFP. so pretty close!
