I started T25 on Monday 4th! Might have to switch days up at a later date as I run and need it to fit with my training schedule.

Absolutely "eat them back", they are your body's fuel! Yes exercising does mean you can then eat more but there is a culture shift that is important to embrace. Once you have found an activity you enjoy (for me it is running) you see the extra calories as nutrition to fuel your amazing new life style. Don't get me wrong I…

Definitely enter something to have a goal. I've got a 10k in July too, so now I know I can do the 13.1mile distance I'm going to concentrate on training for a good time for a 1st 10k then get back to the half-marathon training after that.
-
You know you can do it!!!
-
I just kept moving up training schedules, followed couch to 30mins with 5k, then 10k, then half-marathon. Also shifted from 3 to 4 days a week. Got to the stage when I was able to look at the plan and adapt it to my personal situation. Worked for me, so far!

When I started running 1 minute was an effort, on Saturday I ran 2hrs 47mins non-stop, slow pace but it was lifting both feet off the floor at the same time! Just keep progressing every week but keep it under control so you don't get injured, good luck :glasses:

I'm from the UK, what volume are you using for "cup"?

When I realised that the first 10 minutes feels awful for most runners and that even seasoned runners say they hate the first 2-3 miles the worst! So I knew that until I got up to running past 2 miles it'd be rubbish. Now I'm running 2.6 miles and the last section is great. I've booked into a half marathon in October and…

Jules from the UK here. I only started running in January and am booked onto my first half marathon in October!

But does it really curb your cravings? The sweetener sends messages to your brain that food is coming and when it doesn't you end up craving it! I saw a programme where they split a sports team in half for lunch, the ones drinking diet coke consumed 100 more calories each than those drinking water...

My lifestyle is set to sedentary (I sit in front of a computer 8 hours a day!), for a 1lb a week loss I need to eat 1270 calories - I call this my basic. But, because I'm set at sedentary, for every bit of additional activity I need more energy intake! I track my exercise calories and eat them all back, anything else I do…

Where did Kevin go?

Kevin: 45, single, trucker

I'm in training for both too as well as trying to lose weight (currently 28 pounds over my max. BMI). I eat 1270 cals basic for my 1 pound a week weight loss (I'm 5' 2") and eat back most of the calories I gain for exercise. I track the MFP calories over 7 days on a spreadsheet to make sure I keep to the weekly totals.…

Re: the cous cous "as much as you need", I meant with a portion of protein - not on it's own!!!

It's all good!... I've stopped being overly focused on wholegrain carbs for dinner (I get that from my breakfast and bread). Ainsley Harriot cous cous packs are great, it takes 10 mins and I don't add the butter. You can eat as much as you need for your daily calories and save the rest to have cold for lunch the next day…

Definately eat all of your calories. What is your activity level set at? I would recommend eating a mid-morning and mid-afternoon or supper snack depending on what time you eat your evening meal. I've found that I need to cut down my evening meal portion sizes, so I'm still cooking the same things but bulking up with…

The place where I get my gait analysis done does it for free if you by shoes there... surprisingly the shoes aren't over priced either! Shop around, see what deals you can find

Hi, I'm from Lincs but down south in Stamford
-
I'm no expert but have been reading up on running recently, I'm on week 4 of "0-30mins in 8 weeks": -Shoes, def could be the problem. You should be running on the treadmill (not walking) when they do your gait analysis and have this reviewed at least every 6 months (depending on how many miles you are putting in and how…

Jules here from Stamford, Lincolnshire. 5'2", approx 40lb to loose. 2nd week on MFP In 4th week of running schedule (similar to C25k).

I'm 5'2", 41 years and 175lbs. I want to be 135lbs, realistically this will probably be October time but it would be great to get most of it shifted for the summer

Check out your hair!

I bought some today! But only becasue I'm eating mixed berries with my porridge and find blueberries very sour, I'll let you know how it goes. I don't have sugar or sweetener in hot drinks so won't be able to report back from that perspective.
