The first point to make is that using MFP method already creates a deficit for you so you don’t have to leave any leftover calories on your own, you can leave zero calories left every day and the deficit is already built-in next Your believed TDEE = 2250 TDEE – 10% = 2025 TDEE – 20% = 1800 You only have 3 lbs to go and you…

i read a post on here a while back and here's what the guy did since he was still learning how to use the calipers as well. pay for the bod pod to get your actual bf% now go and learn how to use the calipers since you already know the answer continue to use calipers to track progress. i bought some calipers about a month…

gonna make it real easy for ya 1. change your calorie goals to lose 1 lbs / week 2. enjoy your new found calories
-
yup, easiest thing to do is to change your goals to lose it more slowly, but i wouldn't call 2.5lbs / week unhealthy, especially when you are first starting out. believe me, the rate of loss will slow down. here's a good read for you: http://www.myfitnesspal.com/topics/show/654536-in-place-of-a-road-map-2-0-revised-7-2-12…

i looked at your profile pics, very slender, so my tip to you is dont do it i know a lot of folks who drop weight really quick by eliminating carbs instead, it's a temp fix, but way better than no food at all.
-
i wouldn't want to mess with your creative dinners so if it were me, i would focus on eating the right portion size, guesstimate a calorie count, log it, pay attention to weight, adjust accordingly for me the ultimate goal is not to have to count calories the rest of my life
-
dude, that's awesome. I didnt think low carbs was a sustainable lifestyle
-

hey Tat, who ever gave you that advice is really setting you up for trouble in the future, i'm sure that wasnt their intention, but think of it this way, do you really want to burn 500 calories per day in exercise for the rest of your life? or even until you get to goal weight? what would happen if you couldn't exercise…

awesome work have you gotten your sister to join you? having someone that close to motive each other would be great, and an awesome story to follow

slow and steady wins the race, that's 3.8lbs per month a really great effort. congrats

you should still get one you get to input your age gender weight height having one is waayy more accurate than not having one
-
the whole exercise calories dilemma really stems from folks (myself included) not really knowing how much gets burned during a working out, even with the use of heart rate monitor. then, then, it gets even more complicated when food intake isn't properly tracked either (food scale). the good news is you have your own data,…

a general rule could be this: 20's & 30's year olds = yes, you'll look younger 50's & 60's year olds = no, you're not going look any younger, you'll just look your age 40's year olds = could go either way, based on environmental and genetic factors at the end of the day, what's the alternative, staying fat? i suppose once…

2 fold answer 1) i dont track macros, it's hard enough keeping track of calories, much less where they need to be coming from 2) on the phone app, I can scroll and review what macros I've hit on past weekly eating and my scenario works out like this, no matter how I eat, I hover around 40/30/30 i suppose if the macros were…

did the diet plan recommend eating at maintenance or eating at a deficit, i'd be interested because i still have plenty of fat to lose. thanks. congrats on making it on the list too.

if you get a low profile one, i didnt realize that once i put my plate on there and start weighing food, the numbers get covered by the plate. the work around is to first put a small cereal bowl on the scale, then i can put my dinner plate on top of the bowl, zero the scale, then add my 8 oz of chicken, zero it again, add…
