Following for tips as well. I don't know how long you've been doing this, but your body's going through a big change. Don't totally cut out one food group, though. Some carbs are good, but I understand because I love carbs too much, and it's hard to limit for me.

I think some people can do the portion control with sweets, but for me, I think I have to pretty much cut it out, unless it's a special occasion.

I can totally relate. Following to get some tips.

You and I are very similar in some aspects. I would also like to lose 10 more lbs. But, the difference is that I have lost 70 so far, since Jan. of 2013. I was doing so well watching what I ate and exercising, but I have let the exercise go off to the wayside. I have had some depression, and I feel like I am handling that…

Did not meet my goal, but still down. Beginning weight: 153.2. Current weight: 150. My goal was 148. Great job everyone!!
-
How is everyone doing? We only have a few more days! I would like to get down to 148. I keep going up a little, down a little, so we'll see what it is on March 1st!

wow, #25 would take dedication. I have to have food on hand. I couldn't imagine just going shopping day to day, because I might be in the mood for something else. ETA, hey, as long as it works for you, that's great! You have some good advice here.

I am a spouse of someone who had sleeve surgery, and I totally support my husband. Maybe I am too much of a mother hen sometimes, i.e. "Are you sure you should eat that-it might make you sick", and "You haven't ate since what time?!", or "You really need to get more protein". People have been noticing more and more that he…

I haven't done this particular video, but I would stick with level 1 until you are confident enough to complete level 2. Why would you skip to level 3 if you can't do level 2? -Confused. Add heavier weights in level 1 if it is getting too easy.

I did not get sleeved or banded, but I have lost 70 lb. in 13 months. Starting weight: 219 lb., a tight size 18 (so prob. a 20), shirt size XL Current weight: between 148-150, a loose size 10 (prob an 8-need to go shopping), shirt size small to med. But, my husband has got sleeved, and he has lost 40 lb. in a month!…

Jenaontrack74, thanks for the encouragement. I set my goal based on two things: I didn't want to set myself up for failure and feel bad about myself, and my recent weight loss has been slow anyway. So, for me this is a difficult goal. I have been gaining a pound, losing two, etc., etc...I wanted my goal to be reasonable.…

If you are still losing, then you are not on a plateau. As you have less to lose than before, the weight loss will be slower. I am also losing much slower than when I started, but we can't give up. Even if you don't meet this goal for March 1st, it is not the end of the world. You'll make it, I have faith in you!

I love Tae Bo type workouts, and you should get a workout high with all the endorphins rushing through your body.

Do you mix this with water? Wouldn't it taste yucky, or is it tasteless? Guess you could mix with fruit juice.

Last year, when I started my weight loss (Jan 1, 2013), I was 219. I didn't start myfitnesspal until about the third week in January. By the time I used myfitnesspal, I had gotten down to 198. So, I lost 21 lb. And, I have been going ever since. It is possible, but not recommended. Probably a lot of mine was water weight,…

This is a great idea. I know it sounds stupid, but when I used to go to weight watchers, I would love getting the shoe stickers for activity days, star stickers for 5 lb., 10 lb, etc. Each sticker signified something. It sounds like we're in kindergarten and we got a gold star that day, but it really helps. I'm definitely…

I am 5'5", and I am also 150 lb. and a size 10. My daughter, who is the same height as me is 122 lb., and a size 3/4 in most sizes. Hope that helps. We are both somewhat muscular but with a little fat.

My husband had his sleeve done on January 7th, and he kind of skipped over the full liquid diet, and went right to the soft foods. I hope it will be alright, he's brought some things back up, but as long as he chews it good, he can eat most things. Eggs were not good, or cake.

I never thought of weighing my food right when i buy it. That's a good idea. i might have to do that!! Thanks for the tip!

bump looks good!

I weigh myself daily, but don't record it daily. I only record it about once a week, whether it is more or less than the previous week. It keeps me motivated. I know some days will be higher than others and vice versa. I don't stress about it, though. I know weight fluctuates.

Women's sizes are so weird. When you're first starting to lose weight, you have to lose 20-25 lb. for each size, but then as you get smaller, you may lose 10 and be in the next size down. Be patient. This is not a race. This is a journey for the rest of your life, because guess what? when you lose the weight and get down…

Maybe you just went back to work too soon?

Not quite there, but close. I am basing it on my weight in high school. It's funny, because back then, I thought my legs were fat, but I realize now that they weren't. I'm going to focus more on body composition (body fat %).
-
I think you look good the way you are. I am the same height, and a woman, and I weigh 150, but for a guy to be 150 seems a little too thin to me. To answer your question, 15 lb. does make a difference, but you want to keep the muscle, so I would focus more on body fat %.

I've never had it happen to me, but I've heard that it can happen, especially if you're working out harder than usual. Professional athletes can go months without having one. If you keep skipping your period, I would go to the doctor, even if you have to make payments to them. Your health is number one.

As you get closer to maintenance, I think it should be fine to slowly add some calories back. I used to be at 1340, then splurged for the holidays, and went straight to maintenance calories, and now I'm back to 1440, because I lowered my goal to 1 lb. a week rather than 2 lb. a week. I wouldn't worry about that extra 40…

Mine is similar to this^... While the scale kept creeping up over the years, I would say to myself, "well, at least it's not 200. At least I'm under that." Then, when it crept to over 200, I would say, at least it's not 210. I'm under that. Etc, Etc. When it was Christmas time last year, and I dedided to weigh myself, and…
