  • I am 5'6.5" and currently weigh 159.5. I have a hard time with pants because my thighs are thicker and my waist is pretty small. The best jeans I can find are junior size 7 (from Kohl's, women's size 6 at Express) with a little stretch in them so they can stretch over my thighs and fit correctly in my waist lol. For dress…
  • It really depends for me. I normally do some sort of exercise every day but if I do not, I am lucky to hit around 1700-1800 calories burned. I am 5'6 1/2" and weigh 159.5 currently. With exercise, my average daily burn is anywhere from 2100-2300. I do burn more on weekends because I am moving around a lot more (work a desk…
  • I always eat after which gives me more time to walk during my break. I can always eat and work at the same time when I get back from my walk.
  • Even at my smallest, my thighs were still pretty large (my weight comes off my upper half first). Just keep going!
  • My boyfriend and I broke up last month and I'm not going to lie, that was a huge part of why I didn't want to be with him anymore. He wants to eat junk and sit around and play video games all the time while I want to eat healthy and workout/be active. There are of course, a lot of other reasons for the break up, but I do…
  • Bank the calories for drinking wine over the weekend!
  • Columbus, Ohio!
  • Started around 211 lbs in 2012, got down to 145 lbs by December 2013. I have gained about 20 back over the last few years, mostly due to quitting smoking and a medication I was briefly on (most current picture is the one where I am in the red shirt) but I am back on track now and have lost 6 pounds of that and want to lose…
  • I have only lost about 6 pounds since the beginning of February. But I am taking it slow (set on half pound per week). I have about 20-25 more to go. A few years ago when I was a lot heavier than I am now, it took me about a month in a half to lose 10 pounds.
  • Same here. Mine were the first thing to go. That was the only part of my body I really liked too :(
  • hahaha, thanks for the advice! I will look into it!

  • I love my wine. Everybody who knows me knows I love my wine but I also need to cut way back because even though I bank my calories in order to drink, I am still not seeing the progress *I think* I should be. I am guilty of drinking an entire bottle of wine myself on a Saturday night. It takes me a while to get through it…

  • I love these! They sell them at Whole Foods and I think they are $3.99. They also have a cheddar/Jalapeno chicken burger which is also very good. So easy to just throw one in the microwave during the week.
  • Meal prep on weekends to make food during the week easier. I boil a dozen eggs every weekend and take two of those plus plain greek yogurt that I mix with half a scoop of protein powder for my breakfast every day. Most weekends, I will grill chicken for the week and bring chicken and one of those Green Giant veggie…
  • I have decided to embrace the hunger because no matter what I do or eat, I am still hungry
  • I constantly get comments from my co-workers as well but I usually ignore them. What is really hard is when they order in food/have potlucks/bring in donuts/bagels/pastries and always sit everything on the empty desk right next to mine. UGH. There are other places to put the food people!!
  • I just have to chime in a say that I am not a picky eater at all, I love most things. I love pineapple and I LOVE pizza, but pineapple on my pizza? GROSS :) Whenever anyone asks me what I want in my pizza, I always say anything but pineapple.
  • Some good things: Ever since I started working out regularly, I fall asleep as soon as my head hits the pillow every night. My co-workers constantly told me how good I look and I got comments like, "I wish I was as small as you" or "I wish I had your willpower". They also came to me for advice for their own weight-loss…
  • I lost about 66 pounds, gained back about 20 over the last 3 years, have lost 4.5 over the last month and have been cold the entire time. I never had this problem before the weight loss but ever since I lost the 66 lbs, I am constantly freezing. I definitely feel more cold at work while I am just sitting at my desk all…
  • Personally, I don't eat as much fruit anymore but that is because it doesn't satisfy my hunger and leaves me feeling sleepy. I just stick with mainly raspberries and strawberries which are lower in calories than a lot of other fruit and raspberries have a good amount of fiber. Adding more protein to my diet to replace some…
  • I never eat out at lunch. I always bring my lunch with me. I can't afford to go out and buy lunch every day plus it is way healthier to pack my own lunch that I weighed out on my food scale and know the exact calories of. I agree with needing to get out though, so my co-worker and I always walk during our actual lunch…
  • In the past, I would never weigh myself every day as it really frustrated me but I downloaded the Happy Scale app and have been using that and weighing myself every morning and it has really helped. My weight fluctuates a lot which can be frustrating but right now, the trend is showing that my weight is going down.…
  • I always bank calories for wine. I don't drink every day but probably 3-4 times a week. One night may only be two glasses, another may be an entire bottle. As long as it fits in my calorie allowance! Also, FitVine makes a cab that is only 95 calories a glass ;-)
  • I typically have one "cheat" meal a week where I go out to dinner and order what I want (even if the calories are higher than I should be eating) and drink more wine than I should as well. I log everything but sometimes I have to guess because I don't take my food scale to the restaurant and not every restaurant has their…
  • I completely agree with this. It is all in your head. I tried to lose weight for years and then I had a silly "a ha" moment and finally decided I was going to lose weight no matter what. You don't want to try to make a lot of changes all at once because it is too overwhelming. Just make one healthy decision at a time and…
  • I bank calories so I can drink wine over the weekend because there is no way I can cut it out completely. I also just bought FitVine wine which is lower in calories than normal wine and it is actually pretty good! It's only a difference of about 30 calories but every little bit helps!
  • I don't know what to believe when it comes to my fitbit. I have had my Charge HR for over a year but have been back on MFP since the beginning of February and have it linked to my account. I have my settings at not active because I sit behind a desk all day at work but I do exercise about 6-7 hours per week. I am currently…
  • Currently, I am eating around 1900-2000 but I am netting 1316 with exercise which is about 6-7 hours per week of walking, strength training, HIIT, and kickboxing. However, my weight has been the same for the last 3 weeks so I guess I need to drop my calories :( :( :(
  • I am 5'6 1/2" and around 164 lbs currently and in dress pants/dresses I wear a 8. I have a problem finding jeans that fit right because my waist is way smaller than my hips/thighs (thick thigh girl here!) so I have to buy jeans that have some stretch in them so I can fit them over my thighs but they fit correctly in my…
  • I usually cook dinner for my boyfriend and myself on weekends and make enough to last all week as leftovers for lunches and dinners. I like to cook something in the crockpot one night such as this: http://www.eatingwell.com/recipe/251746/slow-cooker-black-bean-mushroom-chili/ or this:…
