How Long Did It Take You to Lose 10lbs?

6 weeks for me. Then again, it depends on the starting weight and how much calorie deficit you are willing to create.0

first 3 weeks approx for me0

Since January, I still haven't reached 10lbs, I've lost 7lbs, and I need to lose about 50-60lbs. But I've lost 2 inches off of everywhere, and I can squat 40Kgs so, the number on the scale doesn't mean you failed. *hugs* Keep going.3

It took me 2 months but I Dont think all of that was fat. Definitely a lot of water weight was lost because I cut out salt but the weird thing is that it actually shows. It reduces puffiness, at least it did from me. And before the health policy step in, I do eat sewaeed and veggies that are high in sodium and my blood tests are perfect2

I have only lost about 6 pounds since the beginning of February. But I am taking it slow (set on half pound per week). I have about 20-25 more to go. A few years ago when I was a lot heavier than I am now, it took me about a month in a half to lose 10 pounds.0

I had Thyroidectomy 6 months ago and my weight will not budge and I workout everyday and track everything like a crazy person. Doomed0

It took me about a month to lose the first 10 but a lot of that was water weight. Now it takes more like 3 months to lose 10 lbs.0

I've lost 10-11 and it's taken 3.5 months.0

If I remember correctly, I lost the first ten in about 3 weeks. Then lost the other 20+ in about 3 months.0

In 2014 when I lost 50 in ~9 months, the first 10 took about 6 weeks. Then I regained 10-12 in 2016, and took it off Jan-Mar of this year. So the 'last' time, it took about 10 weeks to lose 10 pounds.
Your current stats, and activity level, matter in determining what you can lose per week on average. Originally when I was 50 overweight, I could burn 2300-2500 per day and lose 1.5 pounds per week. Now I burn 1900-2100, as I'm in a smaller body, and so a 500 deficit is doable but not more.2 -
I've dropped 10 lbs in 4 weeks off and on maybe 30 times. But when I decided on making actual sustainable habits it took me 6 months to lose the first 10 lbs0

This! It's been slower for me this time because I'm not doing anything "crazy" - no 1200 calorie days, no giving up all carbs or sweets, no "more than I can maintain" gym schedule. What I'm doing now is what I can do forever.

about 6 weeks to lose 10 pounds. Have lost just over a stone now and the next stone is going slower to shift. !1

It has taken me 13 weeks to lose 18 lbs. I still need to lose 20 more. So by Summer, it should happen. I'm motivated.0

About two months but I've been lackadaisical about my diet. Now I'm plan to knuckle down and get my act together.0

It took me about a month. I was aiming to lose 20. (It took me about 3 months to lose the full 20 since weight loss slowed down after the first 3-4 weeks.)0

I lost 10lbs in 2 weeks. Now on week 6 and have lost another 12....0

I generally lose 1 pound a week and sometimes it takes longer. I'm finishing up an 8 week challenge where I will end around 15 pounds lost in 8 weeks but I don't recommend that
I have also noticed that changing up what makes up my diet (carb, fat etc) does seem to affect how fast I lose. These last 8 weeks I tried to go gluten free for the most part but I can't say for sure that made a difference. But if I amp up the protein and cut back on carbs I do notice the weight coming off again.1 -
I actually lost 10 pounds over the course of two weeks, which isn't necessarily normal or ideal, but it happened. I lost 7 one week and 3 the next. I also had a pretty high starting weight, as you can gauge from my profile picture1

About 3 months. The first few pounds were the quickest and then it slowed down.0
-
About 2.5 months, but I was at a healthy weight and just need to trim down.0

10 pounds for me is like a month and a week.0
-
Took me about a month. So far I've lost 28 pounds in about 3 1/2 months.0
-
My first 10 lbs took 5 weeks, but I started with 110 lbs to lose, so someone closer to a healthy weight won't lose so fast.0
