My "food drawer" here at work has tuna pouches, almonds, granola bars, packets of oatmeal pork rinds and Tootsie Pops. Because I love Tootsie Pops. I keep a stash of string cheese, turkey pepperoni and Greek yogurt in the fridge. Having options helps keep me away from the donuts and such.

Fruit, fruit cups, unsweetened applesauce, single serve peanut butter (I like it for apples and celery). Nuts - I package them in zip-lock baggies so I don't go overboard.

"Healthy" food is so subjective. I do eat cookies and chocolate still.....they just aren't a major % of my calories any more.

Everyone has their own definition of healthy but I'd put forward...
    • Tinned fish (tuna and sardines work for me, although my colleges hate me for eating it at my desk ;) )
    • Walnuts, almonds
    • Rice cakes (although for me they are usually just a vehicle for peanut butter and Nutella)
    • Beef Jerky
    • Hard boiled eggs (same problems as tinned fish above though!!)
I guess fruit is OK - if you like that sort of thing.

A fridge opens up a whole new world of diary: Yoghurt, cottage cheese, hard cheeses, milk based shakes.

You can also make jelly (jello) cups.

I like bringing carrots or hard boiled eggs to work. Any fruit works well too.

Meal prep on weekends to make food during the week easier. I boil a dozen eggs every weekend and take two of those plus plain greek yogurt that I mix with half a scoop of protein powder for my breakfast every day. Most weekends, I will grill chicken for the week and bring chicken and one of those Green Giant veggie steamers to work for lunch ( I like the green beans and almonds) along with some raspberries or strawberries. Or you can make other things to bring during the week. This past weekend I made a big batch of roasted vegetables that I tossed together with whole wheat pasta and shrimp and oil-free pesto and ate that for lunch. For something super easy, I love to buy the pre-made salads from Trader Joes to bring for lunch. They have at least 3-4 that are very good and around 250-300 calories which is the amount I normally eat for lunch. Just be careful as some of them are actually 2 servings (tried a new one the other week and ate the whole thing and then later realized it was 2 servings and 600 calories!!! :s ) Pinterest has tons of meal prep ideas. For snacks, I have quest bars, nuts I buy in bulk that I weigh out individual servings and put in mini snack baggies, turkey jerky, laughing cow cheese wedges, yogurt, and I have a box of girl scout cookies in my drawer :-)
