I join a challenge and wake up sick the next day with sinus infection and fever-- Ugh! Will start in a couple of days when I'm feeling better. The rest of you - good luck!
-
I'll try... I don't get many 10,000 days but come close. Will have to STEP it up haha

Thanks; I understand about cutting back on sodium and making smart choices and cooking food myself. My point was if you're given additional calories over then normal day when you exercise it's hard to find food to eat that doesn't have much sodium, no matter how well you plan the entire day. And the sodium is a constant…

Hi - try the American Heart Assoc website for ideas and also they have a great cookbook American Heart Assoc - Low Sodium Recipes. Also the website lowsaltfoods.com is helpful. Cooking food yourself, buying the no salt added foods and not eating processed food is what I've had to do. Good luck :)

You look beautiful Astrid! So proud of you - you're amazing!!

Hi, I too am a divorced stroke survivor - my divorce was quite a while ago though. Stroke was just a few months and am dealing with nerve pain every day :). Add me if you'd like - I'm here everyday, have about 670 day streak lol, just wish I could say I've lost as much weight as you!! Take care, Jo
-
Thanks for the advice!!

OMG - so much sodium... I'm sorry - I'm willing to eat some items that I wouldn't normally eat, because of the holiday but no way would I do a brine. Raises my BP just thinking about it lol.
-
I purchased the American Heart Assoc low-sodium cookbook for my kindle - lots of great recipes. AHA also has some on their webite :)
-
Will you log it all? I wanna see that!!
-
Well there ya go! Our lesson for the day thanks

Not from my part of the country lol - I'm in the south and it's cornbread dressing no matter where you put it lol.
-
Cornbread DRESSING - if it's made with cornbread, it is dressing -- not stuffing!

OP - think of this as your new way of life; you're going to eat healthy forever, not just until you drop 20 pounds. So within the perimeter of "forever" - you will go out to eat sometimes and you will have fun. Right? LOL - just don't go crazy with your food portions/choices.
-
Wait - what? That does not compute.
-
Your first mistake is to think that you will lose the weight and be done with "eating healthy" - this has to be something you'll do forever or you will lose and gain over and over. So if it takes two years for you to figure out how to change your eating habits but that lasts forever - it's a win and time well spent!

Good job!

You need potato spikes or metal thin skewers Wash then wrap the potato with foil, then stick the spike in it lengthwise.. Bake at 425 for hour - hour and half depending on size. They are done if the spike moves in and out easily.

At home, taking care of my newborn son - I did watch quite a bit of the trial since I wasn't working.

Cook chicken breast strips in a crockpot with just "Pace Garlic Lime Verde Salsa" for couple of hours - shred it and add to corn or flour tortilla, with some cheese and some of the salsa - really easy, super healthy, even lower sodium than a tomato-based salsa recipe :) I also add the chicken to salads, or just have it…

must read this later...

You've done a wonderful job - congrats!! You look great:)
-
Go STARS!!! Hope we make it to playoffs :)

Wait - maybe the smell of COOKED PEOPLE is offensive to the walkers. Raw or go home!
