  • I'm on as David Dean. Hope to rack up some K's before I start back to work full time next week, but will try to do something each day when I can! Feel free to friend me if you're on the team.
  • Got a Concept2 at home a week ago and am loving it! Just did my first 30 min and rowed 5440m. Looking forward to talking to others who row!
  • Prudential Mall is nice and not too far from the park. Though I agree with the comment that you should go to Fenway!!
  • Maybe another approach is to get involved in group activities you enjoy. Meet Up is a good way to do this if you have that around where you are. Start by making friends - and who knows? :)
  • Greek yogurt is higher in protein but lower in carbs so it's better than regular yogurt for weight loss and weight maintenance. Having some added fruit will increase the sugar (which are carbs), but it if tastes better that way why not? If you're tracking reasonable well you should be OK.
  • There are always lots of used bikes around. I bought a basic 10 speed for $100 many years ago and still use it from time to time, though mainly I ride a newer hybrid. Check out Craig's List or any other classifieds where you are!
  • Welcome! Just curious - what's that a picture of in your profile? :)
  • Recently diagnosed T2D here too. Glad to be friends with anyone on the thread! I'm not a distance runner, but have found that 20-30 minutes of some exercise each morning really helps keep things in check, so I'm using this site to log my workouts to help keep it up. Also started keeping a food diary to get my diet more…
  • I got a treadmill at home recently and started out seeing how "far" I could go in 20 minutes. At first it was mainly walking with about 5 minutes of jogging. Recently I was able to go 2 miles in 30 minutes which was mostly jogging. Hope this is useful!
  • This looks very useful From wikipedia (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Waist-to-height_ratio), Barbie has a WHR of 0.25. But I don't think that's ideal!
  • A class helps a lot to get started. A good teacher will show you how to modify the poses for your fitness level and any physical conditions. But once you get the hang of it it's not hard to do at home. Good luck!

  • Hartford - quite a while ago: James Montgomery, J Giles, Dr John and Alice Cooper. I was pretty young for it and astonished at all the goings on...
