I recently made this super tasty spicy shredded chicken for tacos in my slowcooker. Was super simply and required very little effort. Sweet potatoes and lentils! I'd eaten both in the past but it's been in the last two months that not am I eating them regularly, but I'm putting both into a lot of the new recipes I've been trying out!

Like a lot of people, I'm not on any set diet. I count calories, weigh food and watch my portions. I haven't cut anything out of my diet, I'm still eat carbs including pasta and bread but I limit how much I eat of them. I even had cake this weekend! I've lost 25lbs since the start of the year and I don't see any differences either. I'm sure I'll get there but I understand how bloody frustrating it can be!

I make curried lentil & chicken stew and serve it over spaghetti squash. It's really delicious and lot in calories and fat.

I hate going to the gym...but I love playing dodgeball. I'm on three different teams and play multiple times a week. At this point it's not even exercise but rather a social event as everyone I play with or against, happens to be friends with me.

I wear a heart rate monitor for all activities that I participate in so I get a pretty accurate idea of how many calories I am burning.

I lost 60lbs a few years ago and put back on 40lbs. I've already lost 22 of those 40lbs though.

As a Canadian...YEEEES! A few friends of mine wear their HRM while shoveling and they are clocking about 600 calories an hour having to shovel snow. It's a whole body workout!
