  • You can have B12 deficiency anaemia which is a life long condition and cannot be corrected by diet. It is caused by your body being unable to absorb the B12.
  • It is different depending on your start size. It would be better to think of a percentage of body weight per pants size. I started at UK 22 and had to lose about 20lbs to drop the first size but going from UK16 - 14 was only about 7lbs. In fact I was stuck weight wise for 6 weeks but still got smaller. Remember 10lbs from…
  • I was at 1lb a week but after being stuck for the last 6 weeks I changed it to 1/2lb. I have lost 200g, not much but it is still going down so I am happy. It has taken me 2 1/2 years so far
  • Pineapple juice doesn't fully freeze and makes great slushies. Just put it into the freezer and mash it up with a fork.
  • Have you had your body fat checked? You look great, I dream of looking like that. Is there a reason you want to lose more? Maybe if your body fat is measured it may be quite low and therefore would be difficult to lose any more weight.
  • Just because there was not a problem before does not mean there is not a problem now. Get the doctors to do some tests.
  • A US size 10 is a UK size 14. I am 5'7 1/2 and have just got to a US size 10 and I still have 20lbs to lose to have a healthy BMI. So I think I will end up a US 8/10. I was originally a US 18/20.
  • I have been told recently that I am in Peri-menopause. I seem to have all the symptoms other than the hot flushes! It has made my weight loss very slow but it is still a loss. I am happy with it going slow as I don't want to leave myself at risk of things like osteoporosis, I have also found that it is easier to improve my…
  • I think the most exciting bit for me was my weight has not changed for about 4 weeks but my size has. I was originally a UK 22 (US 18).

  • The fact that they stick to each others unhealthy diet is why it works. It is when they see someone else eating badly that they realise how bad their diet actually is. I would love an update show to see how they are all getting on. What I find interesting is that the supersize always finds it easier to lose the weight than…
  • That is 143 - 154lbs. I am 5'7 1/2 and aiming for 72kg - 158lbs this just gets me into a healthy BMI once I am there I will see how I go. I am 178lbs at the moment and take a US 10-12 (that sounds so much better than UK 14-16).
  • When I run outside I do a 3.3 mile trail in 33mins I am a bit slower on the treadmill. I have found that I get into a comfortable rhythm and just keep going and it is harder going slower sometimes. It took me a long time to find a comfortable speed and it is starting to get a little faster now.
  • My holiday is in 5 weeks. I already know where we will be eating most of the time and I also know that we do a massive amount of walking so a little splurge will be counter balanced by that. I have found now though that as I have been doing this for 2 1/2 years - my loss is very slow - that I find it very difficult to over…
  • I started Pilates at my largest - 105kg (230lbs). Without it I would not be able to do as much as I can in the gym or the running I do. I had a bad back due to an injury from many years ago. The class I go to is an old fashioned floor pilates so no machines at all and is attended by all shapes and sizes and all different…
  • I use shock absorber but the main advice I would give is go and get fitted. I tried on the size I thought I was - I used the measuring guide - and the fitter dropped me 2 band sizes and up a cup size. The difference is amazing. I am not as big as you but no more bounce or discomfort.
  • My base is 1,770 - 1/2lb a week. I changed from 1lb to 1/2lb a few weeks ago because I have been stuck so thought I would see how I get on upping the calories. I also burn 500 - 800 calories 5 days a week and eat most of them back. I have 20lb to go but my progress has always been slow but I have noticed I am finding it…
  • In Yorkshire so we have buns and breadcakes in this house as well. another one for the mums - dummy = pacifier and for the sporty hockey here involves grass, a ball and a short curved stick that can only be right handed and you cannot do a backhand. We have to say Ice Hockey not just hockey.
  • You look fantastic and have done amazing things in the last year. I am sure anyone who can make so much of a difference in a year will have no problem in learning how to maintain.
  • Oh I am so looking forward to my holiday. Your sizes are 2 sizes different from the UK so I am a 16 here (from a 22) and when I get to Toronto I will be a 12 :-). I have 7 weeks to go so you never know might even make a 10. I have 9kg (about 20lbs) to go until I get to a normal BMI so do not have a clue what size I will be…
  • Try 2 little dogs who not only go in different directions but manage to do some knitting with their leads while they are doing it. Off lead walks are much easier!
  • I make Easiyo yoghurt very easy to make, lots of flavours and very nice. I think you can get it in America.
  • I would go with the Nike+. I run on treadmills at the gym and each one I have to use a different speed as they are all calibrated slightly differently. There is a difference of 1km per hour between the fastest and the slowest!
  • New Balance mainly because they do a wide fitting and I have big wide feet.
  • I stir in a teaspoon of lemon curd into low fat greek yoghurt and it is lovely. I also have yoghurt with my breakfast I mix it with unsweetened muesli and grate an apple into it.
  • I have a maintenance day. I am set for 1lb a week so I only go 500 calories over.
  • Now that I have cleaned up all the water :) If this is true how comes when I look at all the before and after photos in the successes section do the women all look way younger as they get fitter and lighter. In some cases I am sure they have posted pictures of their mothers as before photos.
  • Same here but it was only water! Made me smile though.
  • Make an omelet with what ever you like in it. Make it quite thin and put onto a wrap/tortilla roll up and eat.
  • I had never been able to run. Even as a kid I struggled to run, not due to weight, I was skinny then. Both my kids have problems running as well so I thought it would never happen. About a year and a half ago I decided to run the last minute just to see if I could, and I did it. Over the next year I increased the minutes…
