Seeing it in black and white has made a hugeeee difference for me... the other thing to think about is... when you want to make that exception its ok.. just work out extra to get the extra calories for that special something. The other thing I do is when I am going out to eat... I use the website the daily plate and look…

any cardio type exercise will help shed fat.. however while you are shedding fat you don't want to lose muscle... sooo my trainer said that you want to have a combination of strength and cardio in your exercise regimen
-
congrats... I remember my first 50lbs... its an amazing feeling... I reached 80lbs this week and am sooooo proud of myself

Please talk to your mom again. I started this journey at 304 lbs and have lost 76 lbs since Jan 1st doing it the right way. It is possible to have extraordinary results doing it the right way. the larger you are the faster it comes off in the beginning. I think she would be suprised and not so hungry

I used MFP on my browser with my droid as well
-
yes...i eat whatever burn during cardio and I would like to point out that my trainer says I should... and it seems to be working I have lost 67 lbs since January 1st
-
well my guess would be you aren't entering your weight on any of those machines before you work out... some don't offer that feature... the more you weigh the more calories you burn and I think MFP would be more accurate based on your weight than a machine if you can't put your weight in... as those machines default to…

i understand that... what I am asking is why didn't my calorie goal adjust while I was losing weight... why was it only tonight when I changed my weight goal that it dropped by 160 calories
-
I eat the same thing every day for breakfast... I eat leftovers from dinner the night before for lunch and dinner always consists of chicken or ground turkey for the meat... and the side dish and vegetable varies between potato's or rice and carrots, broccoli and fresh green beans

going over your protein isn't so bad especially if some of those calories you have left are exercise calories :)
-
My trainer told me working out first thing in the morning is great as it boosts your metabolism first thing in the morning to get you started...I agree why do people have to make things so complicated
-
make sure that you are eating your exercise calories... and make sure you are eating nothng less than 1200 and you will def see results
-
my trainer at the gym said 2500 is a totally safe amount but that you never ever ever want to go over 3000
-
just keep an eye on the sodium for these pre packaged "treats"...
-
my only suggestion is to get a food scale and measure everything you put into your mouth.... never just guess....
-
I have used it for chicken, turkey burgers and turkey bacon... everything comes out great on it :)
-
I went out and bought a nice digital food scale when my partner and i started this journey.. so I measure everything
-
also edys slow churned frozen yogurt is great
-
I am huge mashed potato fan... I have tried it 1/2 potato and 1/2 cauliflower it is really good... I season it with oikos plain greek yogurt, salt, and pepper.. it is def worth trying once... just steam the cauliflower tills its soft and mash it in with your potato ;)
-
the edys slow churned frozen yogurt is really good and only like 110 to 120 (depending on what flavor) calories per 1/2 cup

my wife and I are going to make a meal together, spaghetti and meatballs. Dont panic... we are using ground turkey and wheat pasta... and making garlic bread w/olive oil instead of butter :) Then just hang out and spend the day with our nephew and relax :)

I just asked my personal trainer this exact question yesterday.. and he is said YES... in order to keep your body fueled to work out you need the eat them. and like the previous poster said if you arent eating them then you are actually hurting yourself not helping yourself.
-
I looked at your diary and it just appears that simply you AREN'T eating ENOUGH!!!!... You need to eat nothing less than 1200 calories a day... and exercise... you will continue to lose... especially if you get your calorie intake up!
-
Let me first say... I HAVE NEVER LIKED CAULIFLOWER... and will not eat it plain as a side dish.... now that being said... we use 1/2 potatos and 1/2 cauliflower and for flavor we use butter sprinkles (like popcorn flavoring) and lowfat sour cream or plain greek yogurt and they are amazing... you can barely taste the…

I am by no means an expert... but my guess would be that the sugar in fruits is good sugar and sweets is bad sugar... I assume there is a difference but again I am no expert. :flowerforyou:
-
keep in mind though that it is slow churned frozen yogurt that only has 110 calories, unless its the no sugar ones :)
-
edys slow churned frozen yogurts are AWESOME... and they are between 110 and 120 calories for 1/2 a cup
-
my first week I was drinking 95% diet soda and lost 5lbs, but this second week i haven' been drinking diet soda except like may twice and lost 10lbs, but i don't know if its a proven fact

I think you are expecting to much right now. Weighing everyday is only going to discourage you. Weigh once a week you will be much happier with it. You will hit a plateau when you get closer to your goal and thats when you change up what you are eating and change up your routine. Your are going succeed :)

my breakfast usually consists of 1/2 a cup of southwestern egg beaters, 1/4 shredded cheddar cheese and 1 slice of toast w/a teaspoon of butter and it totals about 238 calories and 16 or so protein. Remember protein helps you stay full and give you energy.
