  • Yummm!! Thanks so much for sharing!!! I cant wait to try it and the quinoa!! This is a great thread! Here's two granola recipes I enjoy! (They do have oats tho) 1. From: http://themodestvegan.blogspot.com/?m=1 Grannyola Preheat oven at 325 3 C. Old Fashioned Rolled Oats 1 Tsp. Cinnamon 1/2 Tsp. Nutmeg 1/2 C. Sliced Almonds…
  • Homemade granola is easy to make & portable. You can make it so many different ways, with a variety of ingredients. Sometimes I eat it as is, other times I add milk for cereal, or I'll put peanut/sunbutter on apple slices and sprinkle it w the granola. You could do oatmeal in the micro (I second the overnight oats idea),…
  • Thanks! Good stuff! long with the gracious pantry, my favorites are: http://www.100daysofrealfood.com/ http://mywholefoodlife.com/ I also will pop on dr weil's site, as well as dr hyman's & dr. fuhrman's.

  • I keep most of my family's favorite recipes on pinterest, now (along w tons of other recipes to try!). Let me know if you'd like to follow!
  • Wow, these are great stories. Thnk you for Mine is pretty simple. I completely changed my way of thinking about food in 2006 when I found out I was pregnant. Before then, I was only concerned w calories to keep weight off. So, diet-this and fake-food-that, I had no problem with. But when I discovered I was pregnant, it…
  • I take Ovega-3. It has a pretty high dose of dha per capsule, which I think is hard to find. I believe it's 320mg of dha/capsule. The fatty fish only have the omegas bc of what they eat. In essence, we get omega-3s from the fish because fish eat algae, krill, plankton and other microscopic primordial matter that flush the…

  • It's awful how intentionally deceptive labels can be. All flour is made from wheat, thus making it ok to say "wheat flour" on a label. Only if it says "100% whole wheat" is it ground w the entire wheat berry & nothing subtracted. So, as far as I can see, that pasta is probably unbleached (naturally bleached as it ages)…
  • Oh this is great!! Thanks so much!!
  • That does sound delish! Are you on pinterest? That's where my recipes are.
  • Roasted chickpeas. You can go sweet or savory. http://www.busyinbrooklyn.com/tag/savory-roasted-chickpeas/
  • You are a total rock star and an awesome friend!!! Most impressive and inspirational, as always!
  • You could try replacing meat in your old recipes with seitan, tofu or tempeh. If you freeze the tofu ahead of time, it has a chewier texture that may be more 'meaty" for you. I'd start there. There's another veg group here called happy herbivores. Also the ppl in the vegan groups are very nice, too.
  • Everyone's different...ages, workout routines/goals.. I , personally, would throw on a tshirt and shorts, hair up, put my earbuds in, not talk and get out of there as soon as I could. It was a place to meet my goals so I could live life outside of there. To others, however, it clearly is a place they enjoy more than I do.…
  • Mine exactly!
  • I like fried rice or lo mein. I always make extra spaghetti and rice when I'm having it for another meal. It always works way better if the noodles/rice are made the day before and cold. Then you can add whatever veggies you need to finish up, or frozen veggies. Then whatever flavors strike you....ginger, garlic, hot…
  • That's great! I bet my yearbook photo looks a lot like yours!! I'd tell myself to start having children younger.
  • I've got this week!! Last week I had none of it, but making up for it this week! Rock on everyone!
  • Definitely with the thighs...don't feel much in the butt. I have to look at my form.
  • Best. Ever.
  • So the winner!!!
  • A card with exactly what you said....I miss you. Adding what you said about how she's pretty much the most awesome person on the planet wouldn't be bad, either! You miss her. So tell her. I'd want that a million times more than a gift card somwhere. We can get "things" for ourselves. What we can't always get is your…
  • Thank you everyone!! Everything sounds great! I appreciate it!

  • I can't believe I even tried these, but the tons of great reviews sold me. My one yr old's behavior epitomized my description best... he took one bite and spit it out. Then... as they sat on his tray, he picked up another and ate it. He ate another after that, then wanted to be done w breakfast entirely. They are…
  • Oh Batman!! I found this for the non believers.... ;) "Batman share more than enough of the commonalities of the fictional characters classified as "superheroes" to claim the pedigree. He wears a costume and keeps his real identity a secret; he has a hidden headquarters; he uses special equipment, ranging from miniaturized…
  • Limey's girlfriend, all through hs, even when he graduated. I was a goodie two shoes otherwise. Didn't dare step out of line at home. Always had an early curfew, so never dared drink. Loved school. Never got any athletic trophies, but always excellence in english ones. Always skipped the max number of absent days to go to…
