  • Ive just got a FT4 - it is quite basic but very easy to use and gives me the info I need. It doesn't really matter if its completely accurate as I don't eat back my exercise calories but I just like to get an idea of what Im burning. Im in the Uk and it cost me £48 from Amazon :)
  • Thanks to all... I think it was just the 600+ cal burn today that threw me. Im going to up activity to moderate and lower cut to -15% and see how I get on as recommended. I am already feeling a million times better than I did on low cals so i guess its a just a little trial and error until I get the amount right.
  • hey well done on quitting smoking too .. doing it cold turkey is quite an achievement. I stopped 5 years ago after being hospitalised with an asthma attack - quitting was the hardest but best thing I ever done - but it was the start of my weight problems also. After years of bouncing around on low cal diets and being on a…
  • Im quite new to EM2WL - just 2 weeks in - but its already working for me and im losing weight and feel so much healthier. Please feel free to add me as a friend :)
  • Just wanted to say hi as I am in the process of trying to stop my diet pepsi addiction - I was drinking upwards of 7 or 8 cans per day :( At the moment im down to 3 or 4 cans per day but am struggling to find something else to drink that I like. I already drink 1-2 litres of water per day and I don't like tea/coffee. I…
  • Thank you. Once my HRM arrives hopefully it will be more accurate and I can recalculate as necessary. :)
  • I know this thread was a while ago but I started the EM2WL last week after years of low calorie dieting and have started losing again after 6 months of putting on and losing the same 2lbs !! Hows everyone doing?
  • Thanks heybales. I havnt lifted since Thursday - Saturday I tend to do mainly cardio and weigh in on the gym scales before I start. I am a little scale obsessed unfortunately but am going to try and curb this habit and just weigh once a week to get a more accurate picture.
  • I loved it - and found it so much easier - cant wait for my next jog/run on Tuesday :)
  • Id say moderate exercise too. Ive just started the TDEE - 20% and I have myself down as light exercise - I exercise 3 x per week - twice with a PT doing mainly strength training and a bit of light cardio and once a week on my own doing an hour of pure cardio. Other than that I have a desk job so sit on my bum all day !
  • My PT who has been seeing me 3 times per week since Feb and NEVER comments on how I look other than to take measurements/weight etc said out of the blue "wow you've really lost it on your arms - they are looking great". Was so pleased - I was very self conscious of the top of my arms flapping about.. haha ! NSV 2 - Ive…
  • Thank you everyone for your replies - this is exactly why I wanted to post and get opinions :) I will up to TDEE - 15% as suggested and see how it goes for a while. I guess I wont know how screwed my metabolism is unless I try it. I have read about re-setting but like everyone else Im scared of eating that many calories…
  • I started at 37% about 10 weeks ago Current: 31.1%. Goal - not sure yet - around 22-25% hopefully. x
  • Hiya Im in Essex just outside London and use one of the PT's at my local gym. He charges me £27 per hour if i block book 6 or more sessions in one go (£30 if i book one at a time). I did look into getting a private PT and they are a little cheaper but in the end I didnt fancy exercising in my own home (not much room and in…
