I can't do it because my blood sugar would cycle too much, (Hypoglycemia) - but there is nothing wrong with it! Won't hurt weight-loss at all!

Good luck! Feel free to add me if you need some MFP friends for motivation!

That is my main goal too. That and converting some fat into muscle...All about getting in shape and getting healthy for me! I will send you a friend's request since we seem to be in a similar boat!

I like the spandex blend boyshorts (like those made by SO), they stay in place well, and the boyshort shape prevents ride-up and wedgies. Plus the material wicks sweat really well.

I have 0 appetite for a few hours after I exercise, so this happens to me too, especially if I got to the gym in the early evening. You could try just eating something kind of dense in calories (like the peanut butter you mentioned), as well as eating a bit more at meals and such on days you are planning to go to the gym,…

How old is your child? I was in day care as a kid, and overall I think it was a great experience. Obviously spending time with your kid is important, but your health is very important too...especially to be able to spent quality time with him as you both get older. I am sure he enjoys day care (other kids, lots of…

Look into a YMCA, or your local community center. They are usually a lot cheaper than a typical gym with a pool!

As they have said, please talk to your doc about your goals and how you view yourself, You sound like you might be on the edge of disordered eating. Salt and TOM can play a huge role in small weight gain. Just last night I ate Pho (tons of salt!), and this morning, I was nearly 3 pounds heavier than yesterday morning. Lots…

I have been on various anti-depressants and mood stabilizers with a side effect of weight gain. My way of combating it was to not give into the increased appetite they cause which causes the weight gain. What worked really well for me (aside from counting calories), was to take my meds like a half hour before a full meal…

I love your current one!

My doc told me to do this when my iron was slightly low. It wasn't low enough for supplements, but was like .1 (not sure what units they use) below normal. He said to start making my eggs, and stir-fries and whatever else I cooked on the stove in cast iron to help raise my levels. Last time I went to give blood they let…

Height (if not 5'3"): 5'2.5" Age: 25 Starting weight: 126 Current weight: 120 Goal weight: 105-115 (higher end if I decide to get a bit more muscle mass) How many calories do you eat a day? About 1400-1600 when I exercise, and about 1200 when I don't. Do you eat back "exercise calories"? I eat back a portion. Do you allow…

Oh I certainly didn't mean to imply that if she did load it up with cream and sugar it would ruin her weight loss (as long as it fits). Just was pointing out that if she doesn't, then it is not even hardly any calories at all. Hope I was clear.

Are you loading it up with tons of cream and sugar? If not, they are both almost 0 calories. They won't harm your weight-loss at all. Some people feel better overall when not reliant on caffeine, but not everyone, obviously. Caffeine is a mild appetite suppressant, so that is probably why some people say it helps!

It might work better for you, since you are having trouble on the low calories you need to sustain losing 2 a week. Nothing wrong with adding some calories back in, as long as you are still eating at a deficit, if it will be easier for you to keep up with it. Are you eating "good" calories for your calories? I have found…

Same! Plus if I do it every day, then I have a better idea of what my weight is really at, since if I did it less often, I could be doing it on a day where I am more dehydrated or retaining water. It helps to get a sort of average and see the general trend. I find I get LESS hung up on the number when I do it daily and am…

I like the audiobook idea. When I was in HS my soccer team would WARM UP before practice with a 3-5 mile run. My couch taught us a trick to help keep our mind off of it -- do simple arithmetic in your head. I am sure it sounds silly when you are sitting at your desk reading this, but it is REALLY hard when running/doing…

It really depends on your height, current weight, and activity levels.

I don't really have any advice, just want to wish you luck! My aunt and uncle went through the process to have my cousin via IVF, and I know it was very hard in many ways -- emotionally, financially, and physically. I wish you all the luck in the world, and I am sure that the struggles will be worth it.

I really like the EAS proteins. Though they are pretty sweet. I never get bloated/feel gross, and not super expensive.

1. I spend WAY too many hours playing WoW (I am the guild master of my guild). 2. I play DnD -- my favorite class is Rogue, but I am about to start playing a Summoner too. 3. Besides my fitness hobbies, I love to read, watch good TV Series, and play video games (not just WoW!) 4. I am been to 10 different countries, and…

I do this too, haha. It might be gross, but I find it kinda entertaining to weigh myself before and after using the bathroom too, just out curiosity.
-
I weigh myself in the morning too. I am often lighter in the evening as well, but I think that is due to lost water after my evening Krav Maga classes. I keep a water bottle by my bed, and end up drinking quite a bit as I fall asleep/when I get up. I feel like my weight is probably most accurate in the morning (no food,…

If you think having a scale/tape measure might hurt your progress, DON'T DO IT. It isn't so much about the numbers (tho they can help be a good indicator) more than about how you look/feel/how your clothes fit. If you are good at tracking your activity and measuring your food carefully, you will be able to lose and not…

Yes. Because of another thread like this one.
